The four-seat FCV Concept, being unveiled for the Tokyo Motor Show this week, has a driving range of at least 500 km and can be refueled in as fast as three minutes.

As for the looks, they are meant to look like "a catamaran and evoke flowing water." Probably appropriate: hydrogen vehicles emit only water vapor.

I hope we have plans in a post crude oil world. With the US now the largest producer of Crude Oil with massive shale deposits in Australia to feed the Asian Markets and Hydrogen and Electric cars to drastically cut Crude consumption, we are moving back rapidly to $40-50 crude or less.

NOI is shaking for us but she cannot fully explain to the Nigerian Public the dire straits we are in!!

Y cnt our self serving politicians find ways to gradually liberate our economy from depending almost totally on sale of crude oil to other more sustainable areas? My fellow nigerians, we should look beyond d facade of political witch-hunting and mud-slinging being bradied about by so called public servants and stand up for what is right. If we dnt oppose d abuse of office, excesses, nepotism etc, den Nigeria am afraid will remain d same for generations to come. We must look beyond tribal sentiment and party loyalty, or continiously remain unwilling participants in dis movie titled 'd more u look d less u c' shot and directed by our so called public office holders and government. My people, like de say 'a word is enuf....

May the FG become serious in diversifying our revenue base as the population is more than enough to sustain growth even without Oil. That is why we were doing so well in the 1960's

[s]We all know what part of Nigeria will feel this the most. The oyel owners. I guess the lazy 'parasites' of the north can only revive their resources and make good use of it.[/s] tongue

This is serious o. I hope we start dusting our lazy selves up and find another source of wealth.

Thats why Nigeria must divide so that the real parasites who actually contribute little to her GDP (the driving force behind any economy) will finally emerge.

Soon our vast arable land in the north will become even more valuable along with our agricultural exports, including food.
We may soon also have to shore up our border security and make sure we impose heavy fees for our visas in order to stave off unwanted immigrants grin

Thank you Lord for this blessing, no more insults, no more One Nigeria; but welcome Arewa republic, Ameen! cheesy grin

In the past month, Tesla opened new charging stations in Corning (California), Mount Shasta (California), and Grants Pass (Oregon), completing the West Coast network that now allows people to drive the Tesla Model S from San Diego, California, all the way up to Vancouver in Canada. In opening up the 1,400 mile trip to Tesla owners, the company increased its total number of Supercharger stations in the U.S. to 31.

The Ijaws were predominantly fishermen before the oil. The Oil destroyed our waters and killed our fishes. With the Oil Age coming to an end, our waters shall be cleansed, Spillage will be gone, end of militancy, end of bunkering, Our land will be cleansed, we shall worryless.

http://wallstcheatsheet.com/stocks/tesla-needs-its-own-giga-factory-for-ev-battery-production.html/?ref=YF

Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) may be one of the most talked-about automakers these days, but as its sales figures continue to grow, the company still has a major problem that many can identify — supply.

The Palo Alto, California-based carmaker prides itself on its electric vehicle battery packs that are both safe and environmentally friendly, but its vehicles are now exhausting the world’s current supply of lithium-ion batteries. Thus, if Tesla wants to continue production at its current rate and work to meet its aggressive long-term goals, it will need to come up with a new supply source.

As of now, Musk has plans to sell 20,000 Model S sedans globally by the end of 2013, but the CEO wants to double that sales target to 40,000 by 2014. The ambition reflects good news for auto buyers who are anxious to get their hands on the new iconic vehicles, but it also paints a problematic forecast for the lithium-ion battery supply that is already being expended by not only Tesla, but also other tech companies which use them in their computers and cell phones.
