alekside: If we can go back to our passing game and not play the rubbish we played against Ethiopia, I wouldn't be surprised if we defeat the Italians.
\

Keshi just need to stop playing with just 2 midfielders

the reason they played well in Afcon is because of 3 midfielders

Nnamdi Oduamadi or victor moses cant play 10 for us

if Igiebor is not available use John Ogu or Fegor Ogude

if Keshi wants an attacking midfielder then maybe it is time to try Joel Obi, Lukman Haruna or Aluko

nerodenero: Trust me, a draw is a good result for Italy. Super Eagles tend to play better with a quality opposition.

i agree! super eagles tend to under estimate minnows. against a team like italy we know they are good and will capitalise on our mistakes. That is why we will mentally step up and not make silly mistakes.

@OP and moderator: The match actually kicks off at 8:45pm Nigerian time
The 7:45 is London time, which is 1 hr behind Nigerian time.

this match is too soon. Well, given how complacent they were in Calabar, Let's hope they saved the energy for tonight and not the beautifully irresistible calabar girls.

Remember that Italy played against Germany on Friday too.

I only hope fifa will not have to investigate the scoreline later.

Like we did against Spain and lost by 3 goals to nil? Mate, football is all about winning. Nobody remembers the number of dribbles you make in a match if you lost.

This should be a good work out for Nigeria and an example of the kind of opposition we will encounter in Brazil next year.
Should be a nice learning experience for our boys.

I believe you enjoyed watching The Eagles under Shuaibu Amodu where we laboured to win most of our games playing crap with no defined pattern.

My man, it's not always about winning by playing crap but winning with class. I prefer we keep to playing our normal style which is possession football.

On losing to Spain, I bet we would have gotten a result against them if we had a half decent striker. We created loads of chances which our "Strikers" were unable to convert.

I agree bro. There is no point playing with two Central Midfielder without a proper number 10. That was why we created almost nothing against the Ethiopians. It was either long passes from Mikel or aimless crosses by Musa.

I think Ambrose should be converted to a midfielder. The dude has dribbling skills and can move forward buh sucks in defence. A good team ll exploit that hole during a counter and punish us diagonally. Moses is good as our 10 with Mikel n Onazi behind him while Emenike pair up front with a good 8 (not Ediye angry)
Musa is better off a super-sub to run at defenders by late 2nd half when they must have got tired. And we should start searching for good defenders too. Egwuekwe, no be person.
Dahts all for nau
