3ace: Would it prevent further bombings in Abuja or external invasion? People are concerned about the cost especially at a time when so many things are begging for financial attention.

Are u that dumb you can't catch sarcasm?

Don't know why I am writing this, but here it is: the FCT is building two DISTRICTS on d outstricts of Abuja, which wud include Roads, Bridges, Hotels, Shopping Complexes, Tourist Spots, the Gates themselves, etc. And this wud be done using d Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement. This clarification has bn made various times by FCT Officials, including d Minister himself. This was reported by sm Real Newspapers, and brought here on NL.... Like I said previously, only a hopeless IGNORAMUS wud bliv that Govt wud spend #64billion (not million but billion) on just 2 Gates, cos sm persons said so!! For God's sake, how cud people be so daft, and bliv just about anytin sm Power Mongers tell them

N64bn? Were the gate constructed in heaven?
Haba Jona why spend N64bn to swap city gate when Nigerians are languishing in poverty,ASUU strike on strike and the nation's medical facilities in decay.
GEJ administration is certainly the pinnacle of corruption, all time record high.
Re: CACOL Condemns N64bn Abuja City Gate by Ukutsgp(m): 11:47am On Nov 08, 2013
If this is true, i will say candidly that the money is too much. That gate can be built with less than 5 billion Naira. It is really outrageous, i cant believe it.

Somebody needs to check wikipedia for more information on city gate. This is so ridiculous! I wonder where those planners in FCDA schooled. In this century, they want a city gate in Abuja? And for that amount? What is even a gate without a perimeter fencing? Na wa o. I refuse to give up on Nigeria...
