A Tribute to my bestie

Once in my life I had a friend I could totally trust with my life, she ended
up being my all time best friend beating my previous best friends
Archibong Ekpe-Idang of
presbyterian international school,
Nsikak ikopbo of Nigerian Christian
Institute.

Her name is Helen Ifeyinwa
chukwukelu. But today her name
changes to my Helen Ifeyinwa S. Because she just tied the knots with her hobby.
As you cross my mind for some days
now, all that flashed back was how
good you were to me.

You are my friend, sister, colleague, comforter,
and some times my boss (since you
scold me, Hahahahaha). So much to say about you, your love, care, understanding, tolerance,
motivation, inspiration, wise
thoughts, honesty, yes you were so
sincere, you never lie to me, we had
a way of communicating that was
grounded in truth, and that's my
greatest turn on. It helped us get
closer, shared our hidden thoughts,
ideas and secrets. We worked
together, achieved a lot with Gods
grace, its was wow knowing you, fun
all the way. Yes! We had arguments,
misunderstandings but we always
had a way of pulling strings thru.


One more thing I would never forget
about you is that in 2010 you
became that first lady (except my
mum and eldest sister)to call me on
phone and we talked up to more
than 5 mins, I marvelled. Even after
that we have always talked on phone
above 5mins. In 2012 you called my
Glo line exceeding 5mins(only my
mum and eldest sister calls my Glo
line before then), I was scared so I
hurried the call so as not to finish
your Voucher. you are indeed
different, and that made you stand
out.

From my estimate if 100 guys
met you, 90 thought of you as a
would-be wife, the remaining
indifferent, not surprised you are
getting married this early in life. Have
always told you I wanted to meet
your mum, to learn how she trained
you. Congrats to your hobby, he
made the right choice, for he that
findeth a wife has found a good
thing and obtains favour from God.
Wishing you a happy and fruitful
married life, you are blessed and
favoured, a light to your generation,
a pace setter among your equal,
keep the flag flying.

Finally with your
words "there is a place for
everyone", always remember your
place in my heart is intact, I LOVe
you for life, am sorry couldn't attend
your wedding hoping your will
understand and forgive me and
permit me to wear the clothes I told
you since July, I sew for your
traditional wedding, I have not worn
it yet. Cheers my bestie !!

My bestie and her hubby

I used to have so-called "best-friends". . . .till I had a better understanding of such a concept!
But as I got to know them. . . . while getting older and wiser, I had to relegate them all to the background of irrelevance because I GREW UP!
For one, I AM VERRRRRRRRRRRRRY ALLERGIC TO CHRISTIANS(no apologies), even when I was supposedly raised as one(tufiakwa to the highest order!)


I have never told them that(why should I bother with such level of irritability to my personal and professional wellbeing? )
When I am deal with them, I always use a pair of gloves and a verrrrrrrrry long spoon!

I will always treasure the memories we shared from childhood and will remain cordial and accommodating.
But never at my expense. . .
The moment they get on my last nerves with their that their self-righteous indignation. . .I DROP THEM IN THE TRASH COMPACTOR of my activities of daily living. . . and delete all their contacts from my life!

Simple!

Good news? I don't need them for anything. . . so we meet when it is only necessary.

Life has gone on sweetly and fine. . . and will go on. . . with or without them.
They have since been replaced by MY FAMILY MEMBERS!

I don't pay tribute to friends. . . ONLY FAMILY MEMBERS!

but Then kanwulia is not Ideology, (no way), your experiences with your "bestie 's " are not same with mine.

To put the above straight, from my last count I have just 3 best friends. I don't just call anyone my bestie.

People I relate with fall into the following categories.
friends - causal friends, acquaintances, colleagues.

Good friends - these set have shown appreciable level of trust and more importantly, we share similar core values. They see me as a person with great personality.

Close friends - these are friends with similar core values that show great understanding of friendship, they seek advice from me, we share certain level of deep thoughts. I have about 10 friends in this category. They also see me as a model

Best friends - these folks are special to me, faithful, dependable, trustworthy, and honest these are friends that have added great value to me, they always call to check on my well being

Generally, friends in this set, see me as a role model, they come to me for advice on very deep issues, we share a lot, they also know my deep thoughts. Just 3 in this category

now you can have an idea why my experiences should be different from yours.

I don't hate people, but I feel bad, when they act in a funny way

I understand humans can be funny, I have a very strong resisting spirit, i know a lot for afar, no matter how nice you seem, from the first day we meet, I know how far I can go with you.
