in Amaechi's case I think that case should be laid to rest by now considering the fact that another guber election has taken place after that incident, otherwise, its the kinda manipulation the PDP always bring to play whenever they want something done in their favour, they are masters in twisting the constitution and issues, lack of equity, justice, or even the rule of law. In Andy's case, its same PDP abragadabra, Obi's tenure was yet to expire before went ahead to organise the election because OBJ wanted to return the favour by installing his errand boy and looting accomplice Andy Ubah as Anambra state Governor by all means.

The case is that the election should not had taken place since Amechi did not complete four years when the election took place.
It was Amechi who went to court to ask for elongatiom, then Omehia went to court and asked to be joined in the suit. So when Amechi saw that if he wins the case and get elongation, it will give his opponents time to prepare for him in the elections, he sort to withdrew the case. But Omehia who had already joined in the suit, refused and insisted that the case must go on.

At then, Omehia had even gone to APGA which have no strong footing in Rivers State.

The fact is that this case has nothing to do with the Presidency or with the PDP.

If the case goes against Amaechi, it will read that the INEC erred by conducting an election in Rivers while Amaechi's tenor had not ended.
Believe me, Amaechi would have been the one championing this case if he did not win in the second election.

Let us assume that another candidate won (just like the Anambra case you mentioned), Amaechi would be seaking of the election to be annulled since his tenure had not ended. But since he won, he wants the case to be thrown out but Omehia refused.

Now, if the Supreme court says , Yes, INEC erred by conducting the election, then the last election would be null and void.
Amachi cannot get the PDP party ticket, it will be pay back time!

He cannot win election with APC in Rivers state.

I heard judgment is sometime next year.

How do you know APC will not win in Rivers if Amaechi defect? Mind you, that is not the only political party in this country and the last time I checked floating of political party has not ended. If you believe Amaechi has no followers, then goodluck. Let it be known to you that GEJ cannot replace Amaechi now or 2015. Because we will resist a puppet as Governor. Only Rivers people will determine who leads them and that will be done at our different polling booths. Gone are the days of PDP carry go. LGA election next year will be an eye opener for people like you. And need I remind you. Omehia cannot replace Amaechi cos Rivers South-East are not slave to people like you and Nyesom Wike.

The 7th February judgement is to determine if the Appeal Court will go ahead with the hearing that is yet to begin. And as for Omehia, he is not part of the suit again as declared by SC.

Afam,did Omehia participated in t'he PDP primaries?NO. Ameachi participated and won but OBJ and Odili subtituted him with not even t'he runner up or worse still anyone that was involved in t'he primaries,yet Omehia was smuggled in.Abeg make we talk truth when we see one.
