Arsenal Close To Sign Nigerian Attacker; Kelechi Iheanacho. by Nobody: 6:10pm On Nov 12, 2013 |
Arsenal’s chief Scout Steve Rowley is said to be keeping close tabs on Nigerian wonder-kid Kelechi Iheanacho, the player won the most valuable player award in the just concluded Under 17 world cup in the United Arab Emirates. He also got the silver boot which is an award for the player with the second highest number of goals. The Gunners are said to be monitoring the progress of young forward and there are hopes of making a transfer happen as early in the January transfer window which is just 2 months away. The agent of the Nigerian forward who plays for Taye Academy in Nigeria Henry Galeano has confirmed that Arsenal’s chief scout Steve Rowley have been making enquiries in regards to the potential transfer of the player to Arsenal. “I can confirm that Arsenal FC’s Steve Rowley, acknowledged Kelechi Iheanacho’s talents early in the World Cup and has said some very nice words about him,” Henry Galeano said. “We’re ecstatic to have another major club like Arsenal following young Iheanacho. That said, the attention is well deserved. Iheanacho’s performance at the World Cup was indeed remarkable.” The 17-year-old is a huge fan of former Arsenal star Nwankwo Kanu, and is keen on joining the Gunners if an offer comes by. Wenger must have been a class monitor during his school days Btw, its all good. At least, the news that he's been monitored by Arsenal will certainly get more suitors for him. Arsenal scouts are known to have hawk eyes. 1 Like |
