G7 Splits As Babangida Aliyu Remains In PDP by Rednaxelot: 6:39pm On Nov 26, 2013
ABUJA- THERE was a sharp split in
the Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje
led splinter group of the Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP, following
the refusal
of Chairman, Northern States
Governors’ Forum, NSGF and
governor of Niger State,
Babangida Aliyu to join some of
the G7 governors who dumped
PDP for All Progressive Congress,
APC.
*Gov Aliyu Babangida of Niger
State
*Gov Aliyu Babangida
Governor Aliyu of Niger State
who abandoned the group
yesterday, said he remains a
member of PDP and not going
with them to APC, adding that
talks between the aggrieved
members and President
Goodluck Jonathan were still
ongoing and would await the
outcome of the negotiation
before taking a final decision.
More details shortly…
