Real even with CR7 is only 10th. They are defensively weak. Pepe and Ramos need to join Chris Brown in rehab. They've cost that team dearly time and again. As you know while good attacks win matches, it is only good defences that win trophies. |

Nomski0: How's that possible? Well history tells us that as tournaments or leagues get towards the business end goals become more difficult to score. Managers tend to be more cautious, more tactical and rely on their defences to deliver. You won't see Ronaldo or Messi scoring a hattrick in the Champs final but you will remember how the goalie messed up or the silly defender handled in the box or that heart wrenching penalty give away. Trophies are usually about who makes the fewer mistakes when it matters. Behind Alonso the Madrid team is suspect. You won't outscore every team. That's why I rate them 10th. The top three are Bayern, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in that order as the most complete or balanced teams. Then you have the likes of Juventus, Dortmund, PSG and Porto. No English club makes the top 15. They are too unreliable for now. Mancity is the best placed amongst the lot. 1 Like |

I predicted Messi surpassing him because Barcelona had built their very existence round him. It was, "score only if Messi is not in front of the goal. If he is, give him the ball even when you're in a better position." Its not the same in Madrid. The team doesnt revolve around Cristiano. Everyone is hustling to get on the score sheet.
