Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi has said that the quest to protect the overall interests of the people of the state was the major reason why he decided to join the All Progressives Congress (APC). Amaechi who spoke to newsmen in Port Harcourt after the deflection insisted that he bears no grudge with the President. The governor also added that the nPDP joined the opposition APC in order to position themselves for the 2015 elections.
