AKURE — THE Deji of Akureland and the Chairman of the  Ondo State Council of Obas, Oba Adebiyi Adesida has died at the age of 63.
He reigned for only three years having ascended the throne in year 2011.
Late Adesida last attended a public function in Lagos where he celebrated the marriage ceremony of his son, Adetunji Oluwagbemiga two weekends ago.
Palace sources told Vanguard in Akure that the traditional ruler in Akure, died at about 2.30a.m. yesterday, after a brief illness.
He was said to have complained of a slight headache after which he vomited that  night and was attended to by a team of medical doctors and this  stabilised his health condition before he later retired to bed.
The traditional ruler was said to have given up the ghost in his sleep and effort by doctors invited to attend to him proved abortive as they confirmed him dead.
A visit to the palace indicated that palace chief and domestic staff wore mournful look just as both young and old besieged the palace to confirm the rumour.

euromoney: Report reaching DailyPost from Akure, the Ondo state capital has it that the Deji of Akure, Adebiyi Adesida is dead.
According to sources from the Deji’s Palace in Akure, the Ondo State Capital, the Monarch who was installed in 2010 died early hours of today (Sunday).

The nature of his death and where the paramount ruler of the ancient community died is yet to be disclosed.
