I have always wanted dreadlocks. Reason being that I hate combing my hair (cos the texture is so hard!) and also waiting long hours at the saloon. In starting my dreadlocks journey, I realized things weren't going to be easy. Geez! Dreadlocks are the greatest test in patience! My hair just refused to loc! So I started applying nasty things on them in order to hasten the locking process. The worst of them all was TOOTHPASTE! Gosh, it was horrible! However, 14months down d line, I am so happy I loc'd my hair. It makes me unique and free. Besides, dreadlocks is one of the cleanest hairstyles. So, my fellow loc'd people, what is the worst thing you've applied on your locs?

I used to wash my locks with Omo washing detergent!!! Bad advice from a hairstylist. |
