THIS IS WORD OF WISDOM FOR THE MARRIED...What makes a successful marriage?
A successful marriage is a marriage where conflicts are resolved successfully. The presence of conflicts in a marriage does not mean the marriage has failed. Conflict actually spices up a marriage. Conflicts in marriage can only be destructive if unresolved. Anytime a couple resolves a conflict, they become closer. Human beings tend to respect one another whenever they resolve any conflict between them. A couple’s relationship becomes healthier after resolving a conflict. The way pepper spice up food is the same way conflicts spice up marriage. But just like too much pepper can turn to poison in food, so also can too much conflicts destroy a marriage. Because conflicts are inevitable in every marriage, what makes marriage successful is the ability of the couple to resolve their conflicts. The reason why people separate is not necessarily because of the conflicts they have but because they are unable to resolve their conflicts. Therefore, don’t see separation or divorce as an option when conflict occurs in your marriage. God will grant you wisdom and understanding to make your marriage successful. God bless you.
