They didn't have solid stories that tied up the extended universe and developed the well written characters despite the different hands that touched the other movies? now I know you are pulling my legs

I can't certainly show you evidence or at least not on here, except you want a cache of screenshot (which you might still disprove), but FF has taken a dimension which has become monotonous and am sure the only reason the makers are still hanging on to it is because it guarantees a great payday.

Granted endgame was epic, I got multiple Goosebumps from several scenes, even the 10 seconds all female faceoff with thanos gave me mad chills and I kinda liked captain marvel in the movie, but with that being said I only regard it as a visual spectacle and a nostalgic ride, the stakes weren't that high and the apprehension was almost non-existent. It won't be held in same regards as the dark Knight.

Few months later, a few people have seen it for what it is: a visual spectacle.

I've said it several times and will still repeat today: "Time won't be kind to Marvel films".

2. If a product is over hyped, it simply means that its features were exaggerated and did not meet its expectations. Only a liar or a dumbass would claim that Avengers endgame did not meet expectations

A. It gave a nice ending to the current Marvel cinematic universe.
B. It was an interesting film that kept our attention for 3 hours.
C. It ticked all the elements of a superhero movie. Crazy Superhero fights. Super evil villain. Gripping science fiction. Redemption. Etc

3. Thanks to koicereloaded, I understood that avengers endgame is a summary movie- it is the movie that ties the cinematic universe to an end. Therefore, it is going to be a different movie from its predecessor, infinity wars. It is going to focus more on closure, than the events that caused chaos and brought our heroes together. Once you understand this, the comparison to infinity wars would be more nuanced.

4. While Endgame and the dark knight are both superhero movies, they are very different. The dark knight tries to ground itself in realism with a gritty/dark main character in a gothic city. Avengers endgame embraces the science fiction and is more upbeat. Both are award winning movies. Note that Endgame would have more awards.....
