I think the they first went into the future then from the future came back to the past, and in the end everything was happening at the same time, as some were moving forward some are moving backwards intime, all this happened to save save the past or some shit.
Imagine the world is ending 5 days ago but we are here in the present trying to go and and stop something 5 days ago before it ends us all.

Oloture is a must watch. Kudos to the cast and crew. Though high on language and content, it's a very educative movie.
