eldee: Eldee, that intro was fire . . . . . . it coulda been a single on its own. And the beat? My fav lines on it . . . . I crawled up out of that grave, wiping the dirt, cleaning my shirt They thought I'll make another "Illmatic" The feature opens with this young black child Finger scratch, cigarette burns on the sofa, turning the TV down Mary Jane girls, 45's playing, soft in the background Poof from C-Town's mornings was hash browns Stepped over dope fiends, walking out the door, all of us poor I learned the difference between the snitches, the real ones, and who's soft And the murderous, hungriest crews People jumping from roofs, shotguns pumping made it through my youth Walking very thin lines, ages seven and nine That's the age I was on my album cover, this is the rebirth I know the streets thirst water like Moses Walking through the hot desert searching to be free This is my end and my new beginning Nostalgia Alpha and Omega places, it's like a glitch in the matrix You know what the whole fking line in the song was dope. Fiyahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! What happened to the 'Stillmatic & Illmatic' Nas? Lemme go listen to that track again . . . . it's been a while |

Thats Similar to the Extinction Level one where a girl asks "Daddy Tell me what its gonna be like in the year 2000" and busta answers and starts saying so many many things and his voice keeps getting deeper and deeper until it explodes then the next song Everybody rise, is fire, .i think Busta is extremely creative and can do any kind of song he wants without losing his "Credibility" WE DO IT FOR THE LOVE #nowplaying Femi Kuti Feat The Roots and Common-Blackman Know Yourself <Questlove Remix>Dadd |

I see real Headz all up in this joint, To make this kind of Decision you just gotta look for someone who did his special. I co sign Most of the albums that y'all have mentioned but Seriously, "Bone Crusher - Attenshun" made my number 1. "We've been doing this for so long, f*ck the intro shit, Start the music" Simple and basic, that is artistic. But seriously I don't believe they still have good threads like this on nairaland. |

@topic Nas' I Am was crazy . . . a mash up of most of Nas' hits. . . The World is Mine, Halftime, It Ain't Hard To Tell, If I Ruled The World. . . That was telling us where the album was going. chamotex: That's what I loved about Nas . . . he always gave you a perfectly descriptive verse at the beginning of each album. Did you like Doorags, intro to The Lost Tapes?? I don't know what went wrong with Nas, you just keep listening and you feel that he's not the same person. bouzymill: That's dope. |

call me a stan but ma fave is stil hova's intro on the dynasty LP, . . . . too much to hold from a verse like that I'm Stevie Wonder with, beads under the doo-rag Intuition is there even when my vision's impaired, yeah, , But I'm starvin my niggaz,/ and the weight loss in my figure is startin to darken my heart, bout to get to my liver, Watch it my niggaz, I'm tryin to be calm but I'm gon' get richer through any means, with that thing that Malcolm palmed in the picture, Never read the Qu'ran or Islamic scriptures Only psalms I read was on the arms of my niggaz, Tattooed so I carry on like I'm non-religious Clap whoever stand between Shawn and figures, Niggaz, say it's the dawn/Don but I'm superstitious/ Shit is as dark as it's been, nothin is goin as you predicted/ I move with biscuits, stop the harder niggaz actin too suspicious This is, food for thought, you do the dishes The highlighted statements always get me in the zone after every listen |
