A Nairalander's Christmas Message To All Nairalanders by GraphicsPlus(m): 8:09am On Dec 25, 2013
Dear fellow Nairalanders,

I believe this finds you walking in the love and peace of Jesus Christ. I must start by saying that Jesus Christ is the greatest Gift given by God to the world. And today we remember the day He left divinity and all the glory of heaven and stepped into humanity and gory of earth. He came not to condemn us. He came not to judge us and destroy us. We actually supposed to be condemned, judged and destroyed, however, He chose to take our place. He came to offer us His free gift of salvation which can only be received through Him alone. He came to redeem us and give us abundant life. He came to destroy he who has the power of death, that is the devil. And today, we celebrate His birth. Today, people all over the world especially Christians rejoice because of His birth. The world was heading to eternal darkness until He who is the Light of the world came. He came and brought us peace, love and freedom. Today, we can stand and rebuke the devil and he will flee from us because of the merit of Christ.

I am aware that we have heard all kinds of statements and arguments from several quarters concerning Christmas. Some have said that Christmas is not biblical. Some said that Jesus was not born on 25th December. Actually, Jesus was not born on 25th December. It was a day used by Romans to worship the sun god, until Emperor Constantine changed it to the day of celebrating the birth of the Son God, Jesus Christ. Brethren, it does not really matter whether Jesus was born on 25th December. The point is that He was born and we must celebrate His birth. 25th December is like a platform used to celebrate the greatest Gift of life and salvation. The day Jesus was born don't matter. What matters is that He was born and He came to save us.

Friends, let us at this Christmas have a personal relationship with the Christ who is the only reason for Christmas. Christmas becomes nothing if Christ is not the centre of our celebration and worship.

I wish us Happy Christmas. And I pray that Jesus Christ will shine His love, peace and light in our hearts this season and beyond. Amen.

Yours in Christ's love,
