1. In what clearly appears a ploy by officials to brazenly steal public funds, the Federal Government is asking the National Assembly to approve about N30million which it purportedly plans to spend on fueling aircraft and boats owned by Nigerian embassies abroad.

When released, these funds will simply go into the pockets of corrupt officials since the embassy does not own aircraft or boat and has no railway line to maintain

2. The Presidency and other ministries, departments and agencies of government will spend N836.6m for the fuelling of plants and generators in 2014.

The figure is striking when considered from the standpoint that the government, had after the privatization of the power sector promised that Nigerians would begin to see significant improvement in power supply from the first quarter of next year.

3. The Presidency plans to spend at least N2.3 billion on local and international travels and transportation next year.

A breakdown of the figure showed that the State House would require the sum of N1, 219, 612, 4[b][/b]17 for what it called Local Travels. International travels and transportation will gulp N1, 159, 240, 600

4. For the whole year, the Presidency intends to spend N200 million for the provision of foodstuffs/catering supplies while it also plans to expend another N162,556,500 on meals and refreshments.

5. In the same vein, the Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Minister for the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, is expected to spend the sum of N568,859,940 on honorarium and another N51, 403,464 on meals and refreshments within the fiscal period

6. 15 Million Naira for Newspapers equates to[b] N42,000[/b] Naira/day

7.35 Million budgeted for an X-Ray machine, the 41 Million budgeted for a Mammography machine, and the 1.7 Million budgeted for an embalming machine
