The Nasarawa State University Keffi last Saturday became the first Nigerian public university to own its own aircraft. This was revealed to us yesterday by one of Gov. Tanko Al-Makura’s aide who anonymously tipped us about the state governments’ secret move. The source secretly took the photo shot the McDonnell Douglas MD-87 as it emerged from a secluded hanger of an unnamed American airport with the university name boldly written both sides. Wastage of funds. What is the aim of buying the plane? the money should have been used in the development and building of infrastructures for the University. NSU isn't even among the top ten university in Nigeria and i doubt if they have a functioning aeronautics department that might require such. The text on the plane doesn't look real.
