Superpowers are something every boy has thought about and many men still think about. Having the brain to create the Iron Man machine like Tony Stark, having superhuman strength like the Hulk or being able to fly like Superman are all powers many of us dream of having. Well as it turns out, there are some people who actually do have such powers… Top 10 – People of the World With Real Life Superpowers................... 10 – Mister Eat it all – France Superpower : Can eat (and surely crap) anything! Michael Lotito was born in 1950 and is a French entertainer. He is known as ‘Monsier Mangetout’ which means ‘Mister Eat-it-All’. He possesses a stomach and intestine with walls twice the thickness of a normal human and his digestive acids are extremely powerful. This allows him to digest the most inedible items you could imagine. He has eaten bicycles, glass, rubber, television sets as well as holding the Guiness World Record for eating a plane (which took 2 years) by simply cutting the items up and consuming them with oil and water. Unless you were stuck in a plane wreck, Mister Eat-it-All is probably the last super hero you’d call upon. Nonetheless, he is still pretty impressive to watch on Youtube.

9. Rain Man – USA Superpower: Remembers everything Kim Peek died in 2009, but by this time he had perfectly memorized 12,000 books. He had become so good at memorizing information that he could read two pages at a time using one eye for each page. He is said to have had the best example of an eidetic memory/photographic memory and he could recall 98% of everything that he ever experienced in perfect detail. His story was the inspiration for the movie Rain Man, although he believed using his abilities for things such as gambling to be “unethical”. Having him as your friend would probably be more of a nuisance than a benefit, although he’d be pretty good at remember travel itineraries, directions, maps, phone numbers and shopping lists. Though if the world was in total anarchy, calling upon Kim Peek wouldn’t benefit anyone as the only thing he could be capable of, would be remembering it happen.

8. The Incredible Insomniac – Vietnam Superpower : Staying awake… forever Although there are a handful of people from around the world who don’t sleep, Ngoc Thai is probably the best at it. At the age of 31 Ngoc Thai came down with a severe fever and has not slept since. That means he hasn’t slept since the 1970′s. His condition does not affect his physical nor mental health and doctors say he is completely healthy besides a slightly damaged liver. No matter how many sleeping pills he takes nothing can put him down, not even the two bags of rice weighing 49kg each that he carries to his farm every day. It’s almost like living two lives at once…

7. Aquaman – New Zealand Superpower : Breathes underwater (Well he might as well be doing..)Kiwi Dave Mullins much like many of the others, holds Guinness World Records for what he is capable of. He not only has records for amount of time spent under water, but also total distance travelled. Being able to swim under water for 4 minutes and 2 seconds and travel as far as 244 meters would really take some doing, and that is what he does with just one breathe. In 2008, he also set a record for getting to 108 meters in depth without any oxygen or swimming equipment. Forget Iron Man, this guy is Iron Lung, although it doesn’t have the same ring to it.

6. X-Ray Girl – Russia Superpower : X-Ray vision Her look is said to be piercing.. At age 10, Natasha Demkina developed the ability to detect the location and condition of her mother’s organs using only her eyes. Since then she has successfully detected cysts, ulcers and cancers in those who showed up at her door asking for health checks. When taken for a check- up at the hospital, Natasha even told the doctor about the scars on his body he’d attained from a car accident, that no one else could see at the time. Pretty impressive.

5. Das Uberboy – Germany Superpower : Superhuman strength and incredibly stacked from birth Liam Hoekstra is just as stacked aged 3 and suffers/benefits from a similar genetic disorder that makes his dad look like his son as well! In 1999, history was made when a baby popped out with more muscles than his dad. Perhaps this particular super power should feature higher up in the list, but at such a young age it’s unclear what ‘Das Uberboy’ is going to be capable of in the future. Perhaps it will all wilt away like a 6 month gym stint followed by the purchase of an X-box, or perhaps he’ll grow up into the real Hulk we all secretly hope to see. However, at the age of 4, this young lad from Germany has 6 times the strength of the average child his age. Unfortunately for us his identity has been kept a secret (could be a cover for X-Men involvement) 1 Share

4. Battery Man – SerbiaSuperpower :Electricity conduction Slavisa Pajkic has set a number of world records for various astonishing abilities he seems to possess. He first realised he was gifted when he was unable to feel an electric current running through a live fence (which for some reason he touched). Regardless, he can cook sausages using only his hands, conduct 20,000 volts through his body without frying and can heat a cup of water to 97 degrees Celsius in well under two minutes. ‘When there is a sudden power failure, my folks do not have to worry. My house is always shining. I can be an insulator, conductor, accumulator and heater…” said Slavisa. His next goal is to conduct one million volts through his body and says “I will try to charge on it and become a wireless laser man” If you see Slavisa on the streets make sure to greet him, but not to shake his hand. 1 Share

3. Daredevil – USA Superpower : Uses sonar Ben Underwood passed away in 2009 aged 16, but his story is almost unbelievable. Ben became blind as a toddler after suffering from cancer of the eyes. Where most may have succumbed to a life of guidance, Ben took it upon himself to communicate like a dolphin. Over the years as a child he developed the ability to use ‘echolocation’ to get about. It’s the same way dolphins use sonar under water to locate objects and food. Ben clicks his tongue and with this can locate everything in his immediate vicinity. He can ride a bike, play football and was practicing martial arts using every sense other than sight. His story is pretty inspirational for those with disabilities or those without and shows just what the human body is capable of doing given enough determination. 1 Share

2. The ‘Garth’ Monks – Tibet Superpower : Altering body temperatures using only the mind Garth, a D.C comics superhero was capable of altering the heat of the body using only his mind, among other things. Although a pretty ridiculous power, there are a group of Tibetan monks who have the ability to do just that! They have been recorded to raise the temperature of their skin by up to 8 degrees Celsius while their core temperature remains exactly the same. They first came to light in the 1970′s during a visit to Havard University by the Dalai Lama. The following years resulted in remote testing in the Himalayas of the monks. The ultimate test was making the monks sleep out on a snowy ledge in the mountains. With an altitude of 15,000ft and a temperature of -17 degrees Celsius, not only did the monks not freeze to death, they supposedly didn’t even shiver in their little monk garments. This is more than can be said for the shivering and shaking camera men filming them (who were wrapped up in blankets all night). By slowing the blood flow to the brain they will provide it with less oxygen, thus allowing them to weather all kinds of intense atmospheric conditions. Watch out for the next Planet Earth series where Tibetan monks are sent into space without any space suits or equipment.

1. A Jedi in the Matrix- Japan Superpower: Superhuman reflexes Isao Machii has an ability to process things at a completely different sensory level. So rather than see a bullet moving through the air, for example, he can anticipate where it is at that precise moment. Using his Katana he chops things out of the air for people’s entertainment. He can also be found on Youtube plucking airsoft pellets from the air with his sword. His ability doesn’t allow him to see things before they happen, but allows him to anticipate where something will be at that exact moment in time which makes him a cross between Luke Skywalker and Neo.

Dean Karnazes Can Run Forever Dean Karnazes is an American long-distance runner capable of inhuman feats of endurance, such running 50 marathons in each of the 50 states ... in 50 consecutive days. Which he totally goddamned did. He's run a marathon on every continent twice over and run 350 miles nonstop over three sleepless nights. Ultramarathonman Back in 2007, Dean attempted to run from New York City to San Francisco, but had to stop in St. Louis, ravaged by disappointment. That is to say, this man has such a level of endurance that running 1,000 miles is disappointing to him. Karnazes has such an impressive list of achievements that when Time magazine listed him as one of their 100 most influential people of 2007, stopping his cross-continental run short was pretty much the only negative thing they could come up with. Then Karnazes completed the very same run in 2010 in 75 days and shut Time right the hell up. Wim Hof Is Cold-Proof Wim Hof is a Dutch-born man with the incredible ability of being invulnerable to cold, which he has proven by swimming in ice cold water and being buried completely in ice. You might scoff at this, because you saw David Blaine do the same thing. OK, how about this: He climbed up Mount Everest in a goddamned pair of goddamned shorts. He has been dubbed "Iceman," because the Dutch have no imagination. Hof's ability is so great that even when submerged in freezing water that would pretty much kill a normal human in a few minutes, his body temperature barely drops, and when he climbed Everest (in bicycle shorts, we really can't stress that enough), he said it was easy.
