A directive has been given by the Nigerian Medical Association to its members in public health institutions in the country to gear up for an indefinite strike beginning on Monday, January 6, 2014. This is sequel to the failure of the federal government to resolve some pertinent issues raised by the Association. The same issues have been a subject of dispute with the FG for quiet some time. Their non resolution resulted in doctors embarking on a warning strike between 18th to 22nd December, 2013. The directive is however subject to what transpires before the set date. More to follow. |
