2015: Jonathan’s posters flood Umuahia on january 07, 2014 at 12:00 am in news You might also like BY ANAYO OKOLI UMUAHIA— AHEAD of 2015 elections, campaign
posters of President Goodluck Jonathan has
flooded the major streets of Umuahia, Abia State
capital. The campaign posters, captioned “no going back in
2015”, are seen posted in some major streets of the
capital city.
It was sponsored by a certain South East Youth
group.
But in a swift reaction, Ohanaeze Youths Council dismissed the posters and those who sponsored
them, urging them to first allow President Jonathan
to declare his interest to run before campaigning
for him. The National Organizing Secretary of the council,
Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, said the group should
wait for the President to declare his interest before
talking of campaigning for him.
According to Isiguzoro “what we should be talking
about now is for the President to show us what he has done for Igbo youths who voted for him in
2011.”

Jonathan’s 2015 campaign
posters sighted around
Anambra By Joe Chukindi on January 6, 2014 Campaign posters of President Goodluck Jonathan
for the 2015 presidential election have been
sighted in several places around Anambra State,
Dailypost can authoritatively reveal. The colourful posters that were also seen at the
popular Aroma Junction in Awka has the
inscription; “No going back on 2015″. Though, the origin of the posters is not known, a
resident who claimed to have seen some youth
pasting them on Sunday night said that the young
men on interrogation said they were given the job
of pasting the posters in Awka by another
contractor who probably got the contract from whoever was responsible for the posters. “You know how this
things work?
Someone somewhere
may be doing this
without the
knowledge of the president. Though, the
president has not
openly declared his
interest, but his body
language shows he
will give the race a trial. “But he is not also the
type to heat up the
polity by pasting
posters now. So I
believe that one of his
supporters may be doing this. That was
what the young man
whom I saw going
around last night and
pasting them told us.”
Our source said. When our
correspondent visited
the state secretariat of
the Peoples
Democratic party to
find out if the posters emanated from there,
no one was seen apart
from the gateman who
stated that there was
no one inside. Though, there have been pressure on President
Jonathan to contest for the election, he has not
made any open declaration of his resolve to
contest.
