Hi Folks,
I am glad to inform you guys that there is now an artistes' development centre in Nigeria, and it is located in the heart of FESTAC.

Below is the information about their training programmes.

THE MUSICIANS INSTITUTE FESTAC
Admission is in Progress into the following Programmes:

The Musicians’ Special Training Programme
This is the all-encompassing training programme that prepares the music artiste for the best as he launches into the music industry. The objective is to build an artiste that is really competent in all ramifications of the artistic work. The training covers five strategic areas:

· Rudiments of Music
· Voice Training
· Instrument Lessons
· Music Business
· Artiste Development and Career Empowerment

Course Duration: 6 months
Course Fee: Forty Thousand Naira (N40, 000.00)-Can be Paid Installmentally
Lecture Days: Mondays and Wednesdays
Time: 9.00am to 11.00 am (Morning Session)
4.00pm to 7.00pm (Evening Session)

Regular Music School

Under this programme you can learn any instrument of your choice (only one at time) for as long as you wish. However the minimum recommended duration is three months. The musical instruments available under this programme include, Keyboard (Piano), the Guitar family, Violin, Viola, Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Flute, Recorder, Clarinet, Set of Drums, Traditional Percussion Instruments and Voice training.

Course Fees: Six Thousand Naira (N6, 000.00) monthly
Course Duration: As long as you wish (three months maximum recommended)
Lecture Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 9.00am to 11.00 am (Morning Session)
4.00pm to 7.00pm (Evening Session)


The Professional Fields
There are three different courses under this category:


a. Music Production
Under this training you will be groomed to become a professional music producer. The first three months of the training will expose you to rudiments of music, applied keyboard and software applications, while you will spend the last three months as an apprentice in a sound studio.

b. Sound Engineering
This programme focuses on training you to become a professional sound engineer both hardware and software: for the digital and analogue studios as well as for live events. The first three months of the training will expose you to rudiments of music, live music sound engineering and necessary software applications. You will spend the last three months as an apprentice under a sound engineering both in a sound studio and at live events.

c. Mixing and Mastering Engineering
This set of information applies to the three professional courses described above.

Under this training you will be groomed to become a professional mix engineer whose job is to add finishing touches and necessary adjustments to already produced musical works. The first three months of the training will expose you to rudiments of music, applied keyboard and software applications, while you will spend the last three months as an apprentice in a sound studio.





Course Duration: Six months
Lecture Days: Fridays and Saturdays
Time: 4.00pm to 7.00 pm
Course Fee: Forty Thousand Naira (N40, 000.00)-Can be Paid Installmentally


Children’s Weekend Programme
This programme is very similar to the regular music school described above except that it is specially tailored for children. We also refer to it as Ten-Strings Children Music Club. The children are introduced to the rudiments of music and allowed the opportunity to learn the instruments of their choice along side other fun-filled activities such as singing, dance lessons, music games and other exciting activities.

Monthly Fee: Five Thousand Naira (N5, 000.00)
Programme Duration: As long as you wish (three months maximum recommended)
Day: Saturdays
Time: 12 noon to 3.00 pm
Age bracket: 6 – 14 year olds.


The Dance School
Here, you receive professional dancing and choreography lessons once weekly. There is no limit regarding your age and you can be a part of the programme for as long as you want.

Monthly Fee: Five Thousand Naira (N5, 000.00)
Programme Duration: As long as you wish (three months maximum recommended)
Day: Saturdays
Time: 10.00 am to 1.00 pm

General Information about our training programmes

1. To get admitted for any of the programmes described above you will pick up the Registration Form which goes for N1, 000.00 and also get an ID card for five Hundred Naira.
2. Excepting the Children Programme and the Dance School whose admission can be granted at any point in time, admissions into other training programmes are only done quarterly (every three months).


Other Services Ten-Strings Music International provides:

· Sales and Hiring of Musical/Sound Equipment
· Consultancy in the areas of External Music Training, musical events and artistes/band Management
· Live Music (Gospel and Circular Bands available for your events). We also have a live music rehearsal hall available for your band
· Studio Services: Music Production, Jingles and adverts, CD Duplication and Design

Am a Ghanaian looking for a career opportunity.
Pls i want learn the sound engineer as career help me out.
Am at the moment a school dropout but want to achieve my ambition.
My town there is no Engineer over there.
Help out so i can also help the youth.

Why not increase the contact days in the week ( to like 3 days) to reduce the overall duration of study

Can i learn Rudiment of Music/Voice Traning in Your Organisation and am a working class person that only have Weekend to use for the traning.
