I pity the new owners of West Ham.Things will get worse for them by the time they meet us.But there is always a chance of a backlash.

Bocs Pardew was popular with his players I think they wiill be downcast when they meet us
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 6:20pm On Dec 12, 2006
when west ham hijacked tevez and mascherano, i tot the EPL would see new title contenders,
pardew or no pardew, manutd is extending the lead over chelsea this weekend.
newcastle should take points off chelsea. martin was on song in his last game. hopefully he can spring up a surprise against chelski.

PROUDLY UNITED
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by 4Play(m): 6:23pm On Dec 12, 2006
I thought Mourinho was arrogant when he said on Sinday, tthat by the end of Wednesday Chelsea will be only 5 points behind Man Utd.

I see Newcastle as a potential banana skin for Chelsea.Newcastle have hit form at just the right moment and could spring a suprise
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 6:42pm On Dec 12, 2006
YEAH!!!
i see newcaslte taking 2 points away from chelsea and that would make manutd 7 points ontop of the table.

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by hucarson(m): 7:16pm On Dec 12, 2006
There are so many factors involved.

Vidic has been terrific.

Ronaldo has improved tremendously.

The re-birth of Paul Scholes/Ryan Giggs.

By next year,

Larsson should be banging the goals in.

JS Park and Solskjaer should be fit enough to change a match.

Title WILL head back to OT and we fans we be singing "WE GOT OUR TROPHY BACK, "

wwell let mourinho n his fans be whinning, by january when we shall start gathering our final points for the ultimate prize they will finally bow to the authentic king of premiership.its on record that ManU's best performance all usually from xmas upward.lets see ao they will catch up after failind to catch us for 17 good weeks. i can wait to see their growing frustrated faces in the coming weeks. grin grin
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by debosky(m): 5:45am On Dec 15, 2006
tsk tsk. . . . . . i hear a sound of premature rejoicing.

IF man utd don't have a sundden rash of injuries, IF, then they have a good chance, but if they lose any two of rooney, saha, ronaldo or scholes, i don't see them making it all the way till may. Arsenal is suffering from that a bit now, from the loss of Henry, Gallas and Rosicky.

Chelsea on the other hand, have seemingly endless resources & players to throw out - joe cole has barely played all season and they're still pretty ok without him, sheva and ballack havent been anywhere close to top form, still they survive. Methinks chelsea has the staying power that neither arsenal nor man utd have at the moment.

Man utds current leadership arises from a good start out of the blocks. whether that will see them through till may?

Sit back and watch wink

i wonder why you guys keep eliminating Liverpool from the race ?

they have a very good bench too.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by bolaoni(m): 8:34am On Dec 15, 2006
debo, January is around d corner. all d teams can bolster their squad. Liverpool? NO COMMENT

i'm sure dat should be humourous
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by nuggard(m): 10:44am On Dec 15, 2006
No its not.
Crouch-Fowler-Bellamy
sissoko-Gonzalez-zenden-Kewell-Garcia. (Everton would be envious)
palleta-warnock-agger

etc .Its more than difficult to even say who is in the first 11.

i'm waiting for ur laughter and i'm sure u don't need to be scared to say what u want to say.

@nuggard,

that wasn't really necessary.
sometimes it's good to let some folks learn things on their own.
cool
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by debosky(m): 10:56am On Dec 15, 2006
compare crouch-fowler bellamy to sheva-drogba-kalou

sissoko(injured)-gonzales(average)-zenden(past his peak)-kewell(erratic)-garcia(little genius) to essien-ballack-lampard-mikel-SWP-robben-cole

or carvalho-boularouz-terry-cole-bridge-geremi-, to agger-riise-carra-hyppia-finnan?

pretty much NOT in the same class, a few jewels interspersed in liverpool, but mostly average players - quantity but not quality.

liverpool is NOT in the race, arsenal isnt really either, but they have a better chance than the KOP
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by wormedup(m): 11:41am On Dec 15, 2006
@debosky,

right now, i believe liverpool can boast of a better bench than arsenal and man u.

i'll leave u to do the comparing cool

Manchester United should coast through easily.
I fear for most Premiership teams next year as United looks forward to strengthen its team.
The Premiership pendulum seems to be swinging towards OT this season and Chelski seems to have run outta ideas in the last few weeks.
They were so poor against Newcastle it aint true.

I can't wait for the 2nd half of the Prem to start when United unleashes its attacking prowess.
Henrik Larsson, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Wayne Rooney, Louis Saha, Alan Smith, Guisseppe Rossi.
I have just confirmed now that the Chinese sensation has just acquired his UK work permit and his heading to Manchester on 01-01-2007.
Ladies n Gentlemen, lemme introduce the "CHINESE WAYNE ROONEY", DONG FANGZHUO

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Akolawole(m): 11:58am On Dec 16, 2006
Did you say pendulum is swinging?

Do you remember Chelsea can go to Ibadan and buy Yekini for £20m without bank loan? grin

We just need Petr Cech to come back ASAP.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 12:59pm On Dec 16, 2006
@jackal
who's the chinese guy? is he coming to OT for real?
i'll really like to be updated on transfer happening majorly bout united. can u pls do that for me Jackal? thanks bro.

wats happening to hargreaves, hunterlaar, torres and other united links?
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by bolaoni(m): 2:33pm On Dec 16, 2006
I learnt seven of our guys sent on loan are coming back this January.

That is surely a WORTHY christmas gift for us all. Imagine all those coming back
from injury being added to those coming from loan spell and then the addition
of Henrik Larsson. United is BACK to its very BEST!

I can't wait for the second round to begin! wink
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by 4Play(m): 2:45pm On Dec 16, 2006
@justkunmi

The Chinese player is already a Man Utd player but he has been out on loan with Royal Antwerp of Belgium.

I think he was partly signed for commercial reasons.

As for Hargreaves he is likely to join at the end of the season not the Winter break as Bayern have shown no inclination to sell him.

I believe Torres is no longer an option because of the high cost but Huntelar is still being considered but nothing official has been discussed though Hunterlar did express a desire to come to England
