hearsay with no evidence. . . . are we supposed to discuss what you 'heard' from your sister with no proof/name so we can at least try to verify? |
Re: Church Franchising by Cristalz(f): 8:59pm On Sep 28, 2008 |
What kinda name? On friday there was this pastor that came to my bank to open an account for his church. . . .the name? God of Zero Hour Ministries Cracked me up. Anyway if selling church names is a way of bringing more money into the Lord's vineyard, then Halleluyah Pastor! Bring in the harvest @debo Show some faith brother!! |

Re: Church Franchising by Gamine(f): 9:03pm On Sep 28, 2008 |

Re: Church Franchising by Cristalz(f): 9:25pm On Sep 28, 2008 |
A_K_O:Abi o But the man would forgive me na,i mean, spirit of Christianity and all @debo How could church names be running out? The franchising thing is even surprising because therez a whole lot to pick from in the Bible Like ''Fruits of the Spirit Tabernacle'' or something |
Re: Church Franchising by AKO1(m): 9:28pm On Sep 28, 2008 |
That Nigeria is the most evangelised nation in the world and is still one of the poorest is quite disturbing. |

Re: Church Franchising by Gamine(f): 10:19pm On Sep 28, 2008 |
This is beyond hearsay, i wonder why people readily believe what they read in the papers anyways, the church is Redeemed o. And it is no small wonder, because you can't tell the differences but the parishes have unique names sha. Nigerians are the most pretentious a friend of mine was cryingover this. Nigerians wld do stuff that would make satan blush and then go about in a manner that Mother teresa could never aim to reach |
Re: Church Franchising by affee(f): 12:08am On Sep 29, 2008 |
I had said I would not post anything today but Gamine you don tempt me I am not a redeemed member, have never been and might never be I know that it is the vision of the reedemed christian church of God to have at least 2 or 3 parishes on a street,I know they send a pastor and some memebers from an already established parish to start a new parish in the same town, and when it has been firmly established they either send that bpastor to plant another parish or they leave him there. The redeemed name is not for sale abeg it is just a rumour Madam Gamine you should be able to tell a rumour from the truth. |
Re: Church Franchising by Gamine(f): 2:24am On Sep 29, 2008 |
It is also a rumour that Abacha stole money. |
Re: Church Franchising by IDINRETE: 2:29pm On Sep 29, 2008 |

Re: Church Franchising by janami(f): 2:45pm On Sep 29, 2008 |
church franchising? well that sounds really greedy. I know only of satellite churches and the pastors are properly ordained to head them but selling the name of the church for bountiful harvest? well, i wont put it past humans sha |
Re: Church Franchising by Gamine(f): 2:57pm On Sep 29, 2008 |
@Idinrete. IT is not a funny situation really o @Janami, Yes i wont put it past humans. My mum also told me about some Covenant Church in the USA they did the same thing, but they invited pastors from Nigeria who they gave money to open churches in Nigeria, Lots and lots of things happen but because it seems to involve "men of god" people will pass it off as rumours. |
Re: Church Franchising by dudubobo1: 3:50pm On Sep 29, 2008 |
Gamine, I think the way it was presented to you is wrong. The Redeemed vision cannot be about franchising. Maybe things seem to be so to some of us but it might not necessarily be that way. What I believe is that they actually ordain their own pastors for the different parishes. The pastor may not necessarily be someone we regard as qualified to pastor a church but then, who are we to judge such things? |
Re: Church Franchising by Gamine(f): 4:34pm On Sep 29, 2008 |
OOOh!! im tired of hearing this Judge thingy Do u people know the meaning sef! kai |
