Hi everyone,

I am not able to set up my Sony Ericsson G700 for internet browsing. Can I possibly get help from anyone? I am subscribed to MTN.

All those their configurations dont seem to work. I have done many combinations and permutations to no avail cry

I have more than 2k balance so, money is not the problem. I was never trying to browse free (if that is what you mean anyway) undecided

That was the very first thing I did and expectedly, MTN said they could not configure it automatically. The issue is that the configuration windows/options are quite different from what MTN describes. You see things like Address (probably instead of APN), TCPIP, IP DNS, (Auto or IPv4), Proxy, PPP Extensions, CHAP, PAP etc.

This leaves you with no option than joggling those figures around those configurations. The user manual is very vague! I have mailed Sony Ericsson but the response came from a personnel I guess was not very knowledgeable; giving me configuration for W series while I use business series angry

I shall continue though I am being very challenged.

Try resending the settings several times.i once same issue with my w850i .i will try to check some stuffs for you.
