Decat your car! Remove the catalyst and install defoulers on O2 sensors.

You car's performance improves... and fuel economy is not affected!

I have been in contact on WhatsApp with AutoElectNG, such a fantastic guy with a huge wealth of experience in automotive diagnosis.
I followed all the vital information he outlined in his last post to the last letter.
My personal advice in case a car DIY enthusiast is reading this is to get these two things before proceeding with any troubleshooting.
1. Technical bulletins on your car factory service manual. This will give you a comprehensive lists of all the parameters and values your car should meet.
2. A reliable scan tool that can read all the information derived from point 1 above.

AutoEletNG streamlined the troubleshooting to oxygen sensors behaviors (upstream and downstream), and his reason was because of OBD monitor test for CAT not completed. The oxygen sensors were behaving erratically, and he advice I do an engine/ECU software update.

The ECU software update fixed all my fuel trims within spec and car drives smoother, and whilst comparing all technical data from FSM with live data on the scantool, I realized Evap VSV was OFF instead of ON, and that may probably be the cause of what has been damaging my CAT by causing my A/F and oxygen sensors to behave erratic, unfortunately no DTC was set for this Evap VSV (http://alflash.com.ua/evap.htm).

I shall give more update here on the final fix whilst I work closely with AutoElectNG.

Did you do the ECU update yourself? Which pass through device was used?

This your corolla and ac issues is baffling.
I can remember countless times you've tried to fix it.
And it's one thing or the other.

I have a 2003 pilot with ac issues. I've tried fixing the ac several times but it ends up not cooling again.
I've decided to be using it like that till I find a God sent techie.
Because this ac issue be like spirit grin

Ikr! It's tiring. I leave it for months each time but it finally behaved when I tried again last December only for me to go and jam. AC went kaput again. Just fixed it 2 months ago but it's still working erratic. this time though,im not leaving it, she needs to start earning her keep.

Good day to all the gurus in the house....

Can anyone link me to a genuine part dealer in PH. I'm in need of oil pump for corrolla 2003. I noticed the oil sign coming up in my car but it goes off if you turn off the engine and turn the car back on. I also noticed a change in the engine sound, a little more noise than i recall. My mechanic prognosis is saying its the oil pump failing. Any suggestions?

open engine, replace crankshaft bearings if crankshaft is still withing standard specs. Oil pump is not bad, but strainer is blocked.
