This is just a question.....please explain why African countries have never gone beyond quarter finals in World Cup history.

Short answer: Tactics.

The quality is visible in teams like Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast but i feel as if the tactics are lacking.
Look at a coach like van Gaal who is using mostly young local grown players and winning games.

It boils down to the discipline of the players and the tactics of the coach. Making the right subs at the right time is necessary.

You can see an example of that in netherlands 3-2 australia AND netherlands 2-1 mexico.
