This is no secret; the case of Henry Okah is just one of the many examples, Nigeria should take a look at Iraq where a rag tag bunch is now routing a conventional army on all fronts. The Iraqis refused to do the needful and kept playing politics, now their country is in shreds.

Its no longer news that many Nigerians have short memory, it was alleged by Henry Okah and later discovered that majority of the arms used by the militants came from the Nigerian Army armoury in Kaduna state.

oduastates: Everybody know that the jonathan led military is boko haram's quartermaster.
Rather than fight , they cut and run leaving behind all their military hardware for the terrorist to loot and resupply
You cannot fail to mention the brain dead and corrupt military chiefs who cannot provide just one fortified forward operating stations (base) for their troops.
Nigeria ,
Dead country.

I can just imagine the scene grin

Days before Ekiti election, soldiers and police trucks were everywhere (atleast 200 from Iyin to Ado). My mom joked that if someone should shout "boko haram", these "tough-looking" soldiers would run into the bushes and up the mountains grin

Reallagbake2: Every straight thinking, and non-dogmatic creature has always known this.

Why would Shettima kill and maim his people, -the very ones that he hopes would re-elect him in 2015?
Why would Shettima limit his constitutional rights -he is just a figure head in the state of emergency, because of your perceived he has hatred for Jonathan?

Why wasn't he a sponsor before he joined APC in 2014? *Oh, he only "remembered" to sponsor because of Jona.*
He was in PDP from 2011-early 2014, why didn't you label him a sponsor?

You claim only Northerners would vote APC, yet you accuse them of being behind the attacks. Who kills his electorates? It simply defies every logic!! A pointer to the fact that Jonathan's supporters are the most illogical and cretinous creatures around!!

The two moro,,ns above me are very good examples. Not Nafeesa o! Bunch of bigoted and inept things!

Get your facts right!!!

Kasim shettima was not elected on the platform of PDP.

He was elected in 2011 on the platform of ANPP. one of the parties that metamorphosed into APC

blizard44: Even the US is not straight-forward in her sayings...

Why do I have this feeling they are behind the Boko haram ish?
To a large extent, my opinion is US are also having hands in this Boko Haram menace, they want this govt down cos the money realized from oil is just too much for a nation like Nigeria to manage that's why there is high rate of corruption & embezzlement, they have the zeal to put their own candidate on the throne & most likely divert our fund to their treasury in US, this US are capable of doing anything to protect their own well being. I could remember vividly last year when Vladmir Putin accused Obama of funding rebel groups against Asad in syria. Many things will unfold soon as 2015 draw closer.

Stop!. just stop it. the report never indicted Jonathan nor any one in his administration. such name calling is callous and on call for. this is USA own findings. right, are you telling me that anytime the cough we must shiver, lets make our own finding and others that wish to help in this fight. All you name callers seems not to understand what we are fighting. religious ideological driving fellows are the most dangerous fight to get involve in. I for one knows and i deeply believe that only a foolish elite will get himself involve with this directionless group. the fight is not against GEJ and administration cos it will at live this administration if we all can't find a solution now. LET stop politicizing everything. this guy what a sharia sovereign state were they can have a caliphate. We Nigerians are just not unity and that is the strength of this group. the president can't fight this faceless group alone where anyone, anybody is a potential treat.

vedaxcool: GEJ keeps getting exposed as incompetent, sectarian and clannish. GEJ now that u know that Americawillknow now know that Northern leaders are not funding BH, in stink meaner voice, what are u gonna dooo? GEJ should be impeached b4 he throws all of us down a cliff!

They stolen the sophisticated weapons from the Nigerian army, the same army these boko haram supporters claimed are carrying AK 47 from the 70s. You people need to land your lies in the right sector. Throwing the kitchen sink at the general public, with the hope of misleading us will not work.

When people would leave the truth and be chasing after lies is what i dont understand

Nafeesa AA: Someone wrote this
I cannot for the life of me comprehend how utterly irrational some people are: So
just to discredit GEJ, APC/Northerners will:
1. Create, arm, sustain and support Boko Haram on a rampage that;
a. Kills hundreds of Muslims
b. Destroys Northern Schools
c. Bombs Mosques
d. Slaughter their own kids
e Kidnap their girls
f. Kill their imams
g. Destroys their cities, crops, livestock, and livelihood
h. Turns them to refugees across Cameroon and Niger
2. Just to deny Jonathan a second term, the North will
a. Ravage its Economy
b. Destroy its Political base
c. Murder APC members

See how silly that looks? if the North wants to discredit GEJ, it instead would attack PDP members, GEJ Loyalist and structures. In short, the North and/or BH will fundamentally direct their insurgency at the socio-political base of GEJ so as to create disillusionment, disaffection, fear and frustration from his brethren and supporters especially those from the North.
FACTS
Someone, somewhere is fomenting this unrest precisely to generate the reaction of
the most nigerians gullible afterall. BH is a creation of someone, somewhere to discredit the north, destroy its economy and people, divide its unity, destabilize it politically, and ultimately cause the balkanization of nigeria. And it shall fail insha Allah.

while i would refrain from taking any particular side in the war over who is to blame, might i point out to you that the strategy you have outlined bolded above, would be brilliant simply because people like you find it silly and unbelievable. blood thirsty men with a point to prove do not particularly care whose blood gets spilled as long as their objectives are met. see most of those in the north who clamour for power are not doing so out of any particular love for northern people; they are doing so for the sole purpose of enriching themselves. the same goes for southerners too. its just a game and in this game the ordinary nigerian is a mere pawn whether he or she be a northern or southern pawn is inconsequential.

Re: Most Boko Haram Weapons Are Stolen From The Nigerian Army by obayaya(m): 6:37pm On Jul 01, 2014
This article is way too ambiguous!!!

* Your tools isn't enough to track down boko haram finances
* They get funding from Al Qaeda in the Islamic Magreb though the funding is negligible
* There's no evidence of sponsorship from the opposition
* They run a low cost operation that requires little fund
* They get most of their weapons from the Nigerian Military

Is it just me? or is this article sounding like someone somewhere postulating theories that possibly explains Boko Haram's MO and Fundings

Oh I forgot, Whatever America says is law for Nigerians
