After all the bragging by yorubas as being more advanced in education, their cut off mark is still below that of the igbos. Well Ndigbo keep it up Those who thought we would never rise can see that whom God has blessed is blessed forever and can't be stopped. 9 Likes |

oduastates: my friend, stop consoling yourselves. People including those in your places wanna go to unity schools, if not for anything, u like cheap education. Stop talking about those mushroom institutions called schools in ur home state. From your bigoted analysis, yobe cut off is 2 because there are many schools in yobe? Imo state tops jamb entries,y doesnt it make u conclude your ppl don't write jamb ? Just accept u have lost it and move on. 10 Likes |

GPA5: Intelligence has nothing to do with it. Go and read criteria for ranking in case u mean universities , how come yorubas don't get to match igbos intellectually? In the Federal sec school level, FGC Umuahia is the best. Enough said biko. 3 Likes |

Evergreen123: YOU CAN LIST THE CRITERIA FOR RANKING PERTAINING TO UNIVERSITY RANKING. YORUBA IS MORE INTELLECTUAL THAN THE IBO. THIS IS VERY GLARING. BEST UNIVERSITIES ARE IN SOUTH WEST. SOUTH WEST IS ECONOMIC VIABLE THAN SOUTH LEAST. YORUBA ARE FOREFRONT IN THE AFFAIRS OF THIS COUNTRY POLITICALLY (APC, PDP ), ECONOMICALLY |

YOUR IBO PEOPLE ARE TROOPING DOWN TO SOUTH WEST YEARLY TO GET QUALITATIVE EDUCATION. #I HAVE A IBO FRIEND THAT DID PRE DEGREE IN ONE OF BEST UNIVERSITIES IN SOUTH WEST. HE TOLD ME THAT HIS SISTERS TOLD HIM TO COME TO THE UNIVERSITY. HE PUT IN FOR LAW AT THE END HE WAS GIVEN PHILOSOPHY TO STUDY. 1 Like |

Utter Rubbish. No right thinking person would believe that any student with a score of 3 or 9 in the common entrance would be deemed to have passed or be offered a place in unity schools. This is totally absurd and is propaganda sustained for decades by some people who seek to lend credence to their cries of marginalisation. What amuses me on this thread is the irresponsible chest-beating by usual empty barrels. It's puzzling amidst claims of educational superiority that of the Top 10 Universities in Nigeria as ranked by the NUC, no south-eastern university is present among a list that has 3 Northern Universities and the rest S/W. The impoverished vocabularies, poor punctuation, abysmal articulation as well as weak analytical and inferential abilities of most posters on NL (especially during their chest-beating tantrums) is a testament to the weakness of the claim of educational superiority by some regions. The fact is that the public education system in the whole of Nigeria amongst other sectors is quite poor and ineffective and requires a complete overhaul. Take your c0ck-and-bull story to the abattoir. 3 Likes |
