@OROZ, my wife's 2002 RAV flawlessly after you you upgraded the ECU in April. I replaced the ATF with the Toyota Type T-IV as you recommended after the upgrade and the transmission works just great.

Thank God I came across this thread and averted a transmission nightmare on a car I bought just 7 months ago. Remember, you did the job in Rumuagholu. Keep up the good work.

Oroz I have a friend who wants to buy a Nigerian used 2005 rav4 because I told him of the other years he should avoid but the owner says he might have to change the Brian box later. I want to ask if there are any Brian box issues with the 2005 models.

I've not noticed any ecu issues from 04 up, those models uses a 2AZ engine n ecu, no negative comments about them yet.

Kudos to Engineer Oroz. He repaired/upgraded the Ecu of my rav 4 2003. Bought the car recently and discovered problems of shifting of gear and low movement while moving from gear one. Though my mechanic inspected the car before I bought it but he did not discover all these problems until I started driving it. I got to know of Engineer Oroz through this forum and not minding the distance tried my luck and it paid off. The car is now working perfectly like brand new. Engineer Oroz keep it up.

U may need to call me so I can get u clearly, if what u stated is the problem, scan the car call me for a few tips and solutions not a serious problem.
