saasala: Something we should be proud of. Do you know that Ahmed Musa double against Argentina made him the first Nigeria player to ever score twice in a World Cup match thereby attracting interests from top clubs. Uche Kalu didn't score twice in a world cup match. He only scored twice in a world cup tournament.
Against Greece and South Korea in South Africa 2010.

mikeansy: I keep wondering if his performance against France would have been different if he was not fasting

Musa has always been one of my favourite players and I am proud to say that always defended him and Ideye Brown when others criticised them on this site

Oh really!

dhammyg: DESPITE HOW PEOPLE USED TO INSULT HIM.HE STILL WENT AHEAD TO BE ONE OF AFRICA'S FINEST AT THE 2014 WC.EVEN PERFORMING WAY BETTER THAN THE OVERHYPED SNAIL CALLED MIKELangry

THIS SHOWS US THAT NO ONE IS USELESSwink IF NOT FOR MUSA ARGENTINA WILL HAVE FLOGGED US 3-0 embarassed

you are wrong there. It was a team work. Babatunde set up musa for the first goal and emenike did yeoman's job of setting him up for the second goal. However, kudos to musa for having goal sense when needed most and kudos to keshi for believing in his player when no one give them any chance. (babatunde, oshaniwa come to mind)

naijanoni: It is no longer news that no Nigerian was listed in FIFA’s player awards for the 2014 World Cup players’ achievement award.
However, Nigeria could be compensated in the goals category.
Nigeria conceded 5 goals in total, scoring 3, two of those coming against Argentina from one man, Ahmed Musa.
The CSKA Moscow player’s goal has been included in the Top 10 goals for the tournament.
With the final showdown set to take place between Argentina and Germany, FIFA TV ran a compilation of the best goals so far with Ahmed Musa’s first stunner against Argentina coming fourth just before the final.
The first on the list is Van Persie with the header against Spain in the first game, followed by Australian, Tim Cahill’s half volley strike against the Netherlands and then James Rodriguez of Colombia’s strike against Greece in the first game.
Meanwhile rising reports have it that Ahmed Musa may not be renewing his contract at Russian club CSKA Moscow at the end of the current one.
