A former Corps Marshall of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), General Anthony Hannaniya (retd), has asked President Goodluck Jonathan not to intervene in the ongoing impeachment process against Adamawa State governor, Murtala Nyako. Hannaniya who spoke with Saturday Sun, wondered how Nyako who accused Jonathan of sponsoring terrorism in the North East, would now turn to the president for assistance.The embattled governor, despite accusing the president of carrying out genocide in an open letter he wrote to his colleagues in April, did not ruleout the possiblity of seeking President Jonathan’s assistance.“It has not reached that crisis point. We have supported him all this time; he has supported us and in situations like these when Mr. President’s support isrequired, we will seek it,” Nyako had said.But Hannaniya who hails from Adamawa and one of the stakeholders in the state said he was surprised that Nyako has suddenly turned around to beg Jonathan to save him after dragging the name of the president into the mud with hisreckless accusations.“I am surprised that Nyako is making a turn around. He who wrote so many unprintable things about Jonathan with regards to terrorists’ activities, is the same person who is now calling on Jonathan to intervene.“We pray that Jonathan will stay clear of this issue and allow natural justice to take its course because Nyako does notdeserve any mercy at all”, Hannaniya stated.

Using ekiti election to measure the level of intelligence and strategy is unacceptable. Military was used as merceneries to rig the election and fayemi was in haste to concede instead of seeking party's opinion first.
