Tolexander: why should we celebrate the death of boko haram when there are many atrocities committed by the children he begat?

Since the US made the public declaration of Osama's death, how many Al Queda's attacks on US has happened? Does that not call for celebration?
You forgot that a major war had already been fought in Afghanistan years before the capture of Osama with death of thousands of souls. Our own war is still ongoing. But for now, our NUMBER ONE ENEMY, Shekau, has been taken out. This is good news and a very important victory. We expect that many more victories will follow.

Osama was 'reported' killed, much security was guaranteed the US citizen.

Abubakar Shekau was 'reported' killed, terrorism continues in full force in Nigeria.

Which one calls for celebration?

Get your facts right. The US is faced with external terrorism while Nigeria is faced with internal insurgency. The US did not witness any new terrorist attack for years even before Osama was killed.

Tolexander: major victory since august 2013, yet our soldiers are dying daily, citizens are kidnapped and bombed, buildings and cars are destroyed.

A fool you are will never understand this until you are mutilated one day in a bomb blast or one of your children kidnapped!
Why are you always abusing him? Why call him a fool? Why not just make your point? Does name calling and all these abuse give you any edge? No! He had been ignoring your abuses and taking you head on with valid points. Why not try to invalidate his points instead. We are reading and we are drawing out inferences. Take note

While we continue to argue on the significance of declaring Shekau dead, the best solution remains catching him alive. Yar'Adua put Nigeria in this mess by allowing Yusuf to be killed. If Yusuf was alive, this Boko Haram issue would have long been resolved. As at this moment we have no bargaining power for negotiation or a medium to convince them on the irrelevance of this wicked war.

stop shifting your ground!

The argument still remains that the death of Abubakar Shekau doesn't call for any celebration unlike the death of Osama Bin Laden which was celebrated!
