OneNigeria.com has an excellent opportunity in their Abuja office for an experienced freelance journalist to join its Communications Department as the Web and Social Media Editor, with full-time job offer, subject to excellent on-the-job performance.

The individual will be responsible for topical day-to-day editorial and Nigerian content with a degree of initiative and independence.

The role includes coordinating our news web pages, writing new web material, updating outdated content, editing contributions from others, uploading complementary images and footage

The Successful Candidate should have:

In-depth understanding of happenings in Nigeria
Proven track record in web editing
Excellent journalistic skills, with a flair for engaging and consistent editing
Creativity and imagination
Highly organised approach, with an ability to multi-task and manage a busy workload
Fully conversant with MS Word, and familiarity with tablet, mobile devices in the working context
Experience in using social media and an enthusiasm to embrace the concept
