FeverRay: I think if dey fail to qualify from the group, dey will still qualify as defending champions, not sure tho, but I think that's how they do it, for the hosts and the defending champions
No way for the defending champion, its only the host country that has automatic ticket even if she fails to qualify

SA must be the most unfortunate country in the world. They keep getting beaten by us and still "mother-ill-luck" gives putting them on our way. Surely going to be another nations cup without SA it seems. Even Sudan is likely to come ahead of them in that group.

Only the host countries for each competition have automatic qualification.
