Months of painstaking investigations have revealed that claims about educational qualifications and work experience made by a senior lawyer in Nigeria - Mr. Oladejo Oluwaseyi Lamikanra (SAN) are out-rightly false.
Lamikanra, the Principal Partner of Port Harcourt, Abuja and Lagos based Creeks & Shield Solicitors who joined the rank of Senior Advocates in July 2006, in a Witness Statement dated 3 March 2012 to the Court of Protection in London in a matter relating to one of his clients - the Late Captain Israel Ademola Haastrup; claimed among other things, that he attended "London School of Economics (University of London), where I obtained two Masters' Degrees in Law, first for Company & Commercial Law and Arbitration and the other for Secured Credit Transactions and Insurance."
However, enquiries to London School of Economics (LSE) found no trace of Oladejo Lamikanra in its records. In response to enquiries made to LSE, Larissa Leech - LSE's Registry Administrator said, "In regards to the letter you sent regarding the above named individual, I have not been able to locate them on our records and suggest that you try contacting the University of London, who may be able to locate something for you."
Lamikanra also claims to have attended Balliol College, Oxford University, but Ms Olivia Barber - Graduate Assistant of Balliol College in response to enquiries stated that "I regret to inform you that we have searched our files and can find no record of this person having attended Balliol College Oxford."
Ms Barber's response was confirmed by Ms Glynis Price - Balliol College's Academic Administrator.
While receiving an Igbobi College Old Boys Association (ICOBA) Merit Award in the "Professional Excellence in Law" category during the school's 78th Founders' Day Anniversary; Lamikanra's citation claimed that he worked with some of UK’s leading solicitor firms - Travers Smith Braithwaite, Snow Hill, London; and Penningtons, Moorgate, London.
A response to enquiries to Travers Smith, they stated that "we confirm that we have no record of Mr Oladejo Lamikanra ever having been employed by this firm."
A separate response from Pennington's Manches LLP to our inquiries by the firms' HR Adviser - Charlotte Spinks said "We do not hold records of their employment" with us. He had never worked there either.
Observers opined that "if he could go to this length to cheat his way, what else is he hiding?"
It is anticipated that the Nigerian Bar Association will strip Lamikanra of his privileges as a SAN.

This story is somehow complicated as he may have lied in his cv, but Nigeria law school should be th first to be guilty of improper due ddiligence cos he passed through the law school to practise in nigeria. Also nigerian bar association also fail woefully in thier verification before he became a SAN.

Well I'm not surprised our senators governors etc have one it before

So lawyers can do worse.

This post is that of A BITTER WOMAN WHO WAS OUT TO REVENGE BECAUSE HER QUEST FOR MARRIAGE WAS TURNED DOWN.

The same woman mentioned many other names of women that was allegedly maltreated or conspired with .... but she did not mention her own name - she just described herself as a widow who was allegedly “ preyed” on.

Question!

Did the blogger reach out to each of the names mentioned to get their own side of the story .... for balance and objectivity?

If so where is the evidence of such attempt - which must of course be BEFORE THE DATE OF THE PUBLICATION

It means this blog content too is same as an advertorial- this bitter woman paid and they loaned your platform to assist distribution of falsehood and character assasination and smear on a worldwide basis

WITHOUT AN ATTEMPT AT OBJECTIVITY OR BALANCE ...,

If it’s true that his certificates and academic qualifications were forged, will NBA wrote that report?

Why has he not been removed as a lawyer? And as a SAN ..... it is 8 years now.

The fact is that no lawyer becomes a barrister in Nigeria without the knowledge of the Supreme Court.
And No SAN becomes a SAN without the knowledge of the NBA, The Supreme Court and The Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee.
If indeed his certificates were forged, these bodies should know and would never have made me a lawyer talk less of SAN.

He was the Chairman of NBA Annual General Conference in 2016... in that role he coordinated and supervised the weeklong conference of all lawyers in Nigeria - over 50,000.
How could that be if all or even some of all that was written in 2014 is true?

In June 12, 2016 a post was published by Unini Chioma, his name was reported as Greg Laminkara in her post titled ‘Update On Annual General Conference 2016 And Fees.’ https://thenigerialawyer.com/update-on-nba-2016-conference-and-fees/

There are more proves documented over this matter which can be made available if needed.

For your information, this content was first published by Mirrow Newspaper after which an apology was published (All in the file attached) after the Mirror lost the case in the court with an excuse that they only published it as an advertorial.

I advise that this post be deleted and totally removed.
