I just got this news from my Dad who happens to be the branch chairman of the Akure chapter that we are praying tomorrow and not today as stated by the national body...after I've started preparing for the Eid since I heard around 3am..most painful is dat I avnt taken my food for sahur and its 5.30 already... Pls can i still observe my fast today?

is not about stubborn,will must follow the teaches of prophet the moonsighting has a body which is responsible for giving accurate answer to the sighting of the moon which mark the beginning or end of fasting. And it was been violated by the set of self and political centred people.

I aint going 2 eid today cuz I'm away from Abuja and the sultan of where I am is not praying today then where am I gonna have my eid ?

If I happened to be in Abuja , I woulda prayed today by following sultan of Sokoto !!

There seems to be confusion in NSCIA because I read where Secretary-General , Prof Ishaq Oloyede said tomorrow is eid while Sultan, President-General stated it is today ?

Both of them are constituted authority as far as Nigerian islam is concerned!

Anyway, I'm not making this a muslim vs christian/non muslim issue! I respect your views but will keep my stance on moving this to the appropriate section.Back in the day, any non-muslim who made a thought provoking comment in this section(Religion Only then) about Islam had his comment immediately hidden and probably banned. There was hatred btw some Nlders and a Mod, rumours of threats e.t.c That was why the islam section was created to allow for peace. Please, go there and carry on.
