Summit Hills is a new development area located in Calabar,
Cross River State, Nigeria. This massive real estate development
project was envisioned by the leader of Cross River State as a
means to increase economic potentials of the state whilst
building on its strengths.

This development area is designed to create a unique, secure
and idyllic grand neighbourhood, which blends in seamlessly
with the surrounding natural environment. Summit Hills
stretches 367 hectares, including a world class Convention
centre, Hotel, recreational facilities, Golf Course and
Clubhouse, Nature Reserve, Specialist Hospital and a variety of
Residential Units. The rollout of the new Summit Hills
Development Area is executed in four phases.

Phase 1: The main road, which is already under
construction .Followed by the CICC and the CICC hotel.

Phase 2: The development of the residential area and the
hospital.

Phase 3: The golf course, clubhouse, and additional residential
areas.

Phase 4: Completion of the remaining residential area.
Facts
UCL Healthcare, the nominated concessionaire for design,
construction, operation and maintenance of the Calabar
specialist hospital, is contributing 50% of the project cost in
a true spirit of public private partnership with the
government of Cross River state.
The overall size of the development area is comparable to
the Canary Wharf Business District in London or the Lower
Manhattan district in New York City.
The beautiful and dramatic landscape of Summit Hills
includes rich Rubber trees and sweeping hillsides all spun
around the Calabar Channel with its surrounding natural
beauty of wetlands.

The Golf course in Summit Hills features lush fairways, an
extensive driving range and natural features that provide
recreational opportunities for residents who wish to play
gulf close to their home as well as guest of the Calabar
International Convention Center (CICC) Hotel and the CICC.

There will be a variety of outdoor garden spaces at the
Specialist Hospital in Summit Hills, offering ample
opportunities for patients to interact with families and
visitors which in turn provide supplementary care that
would aid natural recuperation in a beautiful idyllic setting.
Summit Hills will have a seventy-eight total seating capacity
monorail (passenger shuttle train) comprised of ten cars to
shuttle guests around the development area.

The new Summit Hills development will be self-sufficient in
the delivery of power generation via a local power plant
situated in the vicinity.
Summit Hills will comprise a nature reserve for endangered
species of monkeys native to Cross River State that visitors
may visit, along with nature trails to experience the rich
flora and fauna at first hand.

the demand is high. there are lots of new tall buildings being constructed now in Calabar. especially around calabar Municiality
