The entry of a popular pharmacist, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, in the Lagos governorship is currently generating ripples within the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as aspirants have commenced moves to prevent him from picking the ticket.

The Ikorodu-born politician who recently met with some leaders of the PDP in the state, including the state executive council members of the PDP, is said to have commenced tours to local government chapters of the party.

Apart from Agbaje, another contender for the ticket is the current Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro who is rumoured to have met with some stakesholders of the party recently at an undisclosed location.

“The meeting was not a declarative one per se, but it was just to feel the pulse of members on the direction the party should go,” said a source close to the minister who did not want to be mentioned.

Other aspirants, Babatunde Gbadamosi, a nephew to former Minister for National Planning, Rasheed Gbadamosi, and the governorship candidate of the PDP in last election, Dr. Ade Dosunmu, are said to be touring the 20 local governments.

You people dnt understand how thing work, Some one that has been an Ally of Tinubu, left PDP to join Asiwajo and co and then decides to come back all of a sudden and you think they will just hand him tha ticket like tha?....people like KORO that have been loyal since day one are stilll there and even other loyalist , they are not stupid now

PDP knows that Nigerian vote for individual not party. So they now go for the individual and bring them to the party.
