Good news to all aspiring candidates who do not
meet up with the requirements for admission into
any University in Nigeria(private University

Government and Economics/ Business

OAU releases post-UTME results •Over 90 candidates score above 300

I thnk d former stat is d right one cuz d name of those who had above 300 was made knwn(which has been customary of OAU) but dz 2nd stat doesnt uncover d names of d cndidates wit 300+.

Authorities of the Obafemi Awolowo
University (OAU), Ile-Ife, on Sunday,
annouced the official release of the
results of candidates, who particpated
in its post-Unified Tertiary
Matricluation Examination (UTME).
In a statement signed by the
institution’s Public Relations Officer
(PRO), Mr Abiodun Olanrewaju, it was
indicated that the results of 14,648
candidates were released, with 90 of
them scoring above 300 marks out of
the total 400 marks of the
examination.
According to the statement, “out of the
total number of 14,648 who
participated in the screening, 7,779
candidates scored 200 and above”.
It added that “seven out of the eight
candidates who emerged first, second
and third applied to read Law while the
eighth candidate applied to read
English Education. One candidate
scored 360, two candidates scored 352
each, and each of the remaining six
candidates scored 348 to all emerged.”
It reads in part, Oladayo Felicia
(45027699HD), who scored the highest
and came first got 360 (Law); two
others, whose scores follow closely and
came second are Adeagbo, Folakemi
Olanike (45737901HC), 352 (Law) and
Koye-Ladele Mofehintoluwa O
(47368712CI),352 (Law), while third
position goes to Iloabuchi, Emerie
Collins (47185750II), 348 (Law);
Ayodele, Timothy Oluwaseun
(47189939DE), 348, (Law); Odelami,
Akintomiwa Akinleye (47194139EE),
348 ( Law); Ajayi, John Jesuferanmi
(47198557HJ), 348 ( Law) and Ojo,
Isaiah Olaonipekun (47356218GI), 348
(Edu/Eng) respectively.
The statement, therefore, enjoined
candidates, their parents and/or
guardian to check their children’s and
wards’ results on the university’s
website.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of the
university, Professor Bamitale Omole,
has applauded the academic and
administrative soundness of the
members of staff, whose dedication to
duty was described as a masterpiece,
particularly on the just-concluded
post-UTME screening exercise.
He thanked them for making the
academic progress and overall
development of the university their
priority.

papindinho: okpeni.... It's been from time immemorial you have some people blast the exam while some fail woefully. Last year witnessed many cases of 100/100 and not less than 5600+ passed last year out of 12000+ that sat it. Let's wait and see

What will you say in this case?. Two of my brilliant friends that wrote jamb last year got 259 and 214 respectively.

They both applied for Mbbs in UI. I know that the one jamb gave 214 is more brilliant and he showed it in UI p.utme.

He got 67 i.e 268 while the one with 259 got 60 i.e 240.

Jamb obviously deducted his mark and we all know it.

As cheap as Jamb exam, no one could score 300+. Abeggi

Bro, there really isn't any big deal in that! Scoring the total obtainable marks in any subject in an exam, or even in the exam is not new , irrespective of the 'standard' of the exam whether very hard or not. Pple have been scoring 100/100 in 'almighty' jamb physics and chemistry, the same jamb pple complain deducts students' marks lol. I know a lot of them personally so I knw wat im talking about, knw someone who had 100 in 3 out of 4 subjects in jamb... I get your point though, and in that case the cut-offs will definitely shoot up due to the mass blasting.

someone scoring 100 in three subjects? then what was his total score? for ur information, I have gone thru several thread on jamb highest scorers, and d highest I have seen is 364. u may say he is d guy that score 100 in three subjects. and if that's d case, why was he so brilliant to have scored 100 in three subjects and was abruptly average to score 64 in d last subject? coincidence, or u have a better explanation?

Wat the hell r some of you saying? The stats released by OAU r only the 3 highest scores which were 360,352 and 348 and they went ahead to mention the ppl that scored those marks,that's doesn't mean others didn't score above 300,those were just d highest 300+. Its not rocket science you know!

U are argubly ryt der,but even wit dis jamb on a normal day the thrend of scores shows the better students av d better score exceptional case cud b one in thirty.
As for no one getting past 300:Probably jamb did some kind regulation
