take a second look at d reason/s u gave. insufficient time or/and bad timing. it's not possible for someone who is so brilliant to have scored 100 in 3 subjects to actually run of of time. don't be fast to react, think reasonably! I'm an average student and have switched departments (commercial to art) and even for dis reasons I have not scored below average (50) in jamb, not even in literature, my most difficult subject. I must add that i didn't experience running out of time in the sense that my paper was taken away from me while Im still shading, though dis does not mean I attempted every question. maybe like myself he didn't attempt every question in english. but this is not probable because he was so brilliant and confident that he attempted every question in d other 3 subjects. how was he all of a sudden uncertain and picky. it is a very weird picture u r trying to paint of a brilliant student.
very brilliant students finish and submit their papers before time, unless that person does not want to be noticed as Mr know-it-all, he may wait till d supervisor calls for submission.
look for good arguments to back ur rumor, or better still, take my advice and criticize/verify every information u read online before posting it as facts.

You are just making a big issue out of nothing. I only said it could be one of the reasons, I never concluded that it was so, for all I care the below 50 score could have been caused by anything, but then again its not my business, so i'm not gonna bother myself with that.
Well its good to know u never scored below 50 in jamb, as an average student. Your assertion about brilliant students does not simply hold for all cases though, as some very brilliant chaps might have 1 or 2 weaknesses in some subjects outside their strengths. Perhaps this was the case with d Johnson guy.
Mind you, this isn't a rumor as i heard of it from a reputable source and it is indeed a fact, your inability to fathom it doesn't change it either. Johnson adeoti phy, chem, maths, 100, agg: 347/400 jamb score
