This issue have and is still causing so much troubles in some of our Christian, Muslim debates here on Nigeria and even the National conference... We all deserve to know how many Muslims and Christians we have in this country... And WHY WAS IT NOT INCLUDED IN 2006 census? Am of the opinion that the Muslim elites stopped NPC from adding tribes and Religion in 2006 census. |

It is very necessary we include it in subsequent census because in advanced countries,even race,colour are included. |

Religion should be included, but I don't want to be. I am afraid of how those those numbers will be gotten and how it is going to be used. As it is now, people still dispute the number of people from the different tribes and regions, religion is going to be another can of worms... |

If we can have Islamic law in Kano and Zamfara, I don't see why religion shouldn't be part of our census. 1 Like |
