Well, making out my little time to help Niggas, yet to roll out video tutorials on youtube. What sort of problem is your vehicle having? Have an idea of your vehicle's problem before taking it to a mechanic.

Today [ WHY YOU MUST NOT REMOVE YOUR VEHICLE THERMOSTAT]
Modern cars now have a kind of valve regulator that regulates the amount of water coolant entering into the vehicle's engine compartment. it doesn't just flood it always like the old Peugeot 504 we all know, that why when you open the hood of recent vehicles now, you feel like wow! what a great piece of engineering.

The thermostat is a mechanical regulator that contains wax inside. when the engines heats up, it melts the wax thereby expanding it, this expansion causes the valve to slack down and allow the coolant to cool the heated engine, this happens approx. around 200degrees.

Most of today's cars and trucks are designed to operate with a 195* F thermostat. If a lower temperature thermostat has been installed, it will affect several systems in your car. A vehicle with a computer controlled carburetor or fuel injection will sense the lower temperature and compensate by making the engine run richer, causing excessive fuel consumption and possibly a high idle. A lower temperature thermostat will also decrease the amount of heat available to keep you warm and defrost your windshield.

Then again, if your thermostat is stuck partially or completely open, you will have the same symptoms as an incorrect thermostat. Unfortunately, a thermostat that is stuck only slightly open will cause double trouble. It will make the engine take much longer to warm up, but may not allow enough coolant to flow at high speed to keep the engine cool and might cause an overheating condition.

A thermostat can last many years but it might be a good idea to have it replaced the next time your cooling system is being serviced as a preventive maintenance procedure. Also, remember that most manufacturers recommend a cooling system reverse Flush and refill every two years.

HOW TO CLEAR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT (TOYOTA)
Actually, for you to clear the check engine light on view isnt done manually but through OBD2 scanning and resetting. you have to read the obd2 scan result to be able to diagnosis and know why the light is showing, its not there for fun. but in a scenerio where you have done all repairs yet the light still comes up, here is a quicky to take it off and keep your dashboard neat.
before then, the check engine light comes up as a result of several problems in cars ranging from.
1. The oxygen sensors at the exhaust manifold is bad, this is a critical sensor that controls how the system injects fuel to the cylinders, when it goes wrong you run a risk of having high fuel consumption, it sends data to the vehicle ECU informing the computer how how RICH OR LEAN the fuel it burns out, if there are excess fuel air mixture from the exhaust the injector quirts just a little.
2. bad crank shaft sensor, it reads the position of the crankshaft and sends the data to the ECU for accurate ignition firing
3. when your fuel tank cap is open.
4. Too much dirt inside the engine chamber. and lots more possible causes.
To clear the light, simply look at the speedometer, you will see a needle like screw nub, turn the key to ON position while pressing the nub on the dashboard down, hold it for 5-10secs, switch back to OFF, then turn your key to ACC while nub is down again, after 6secs, turn off. remove your battery terminals for about 5mins and fix back. wow, the light is gone! all dashboard lights cleaned! put down your questions for help
