A POEM TO DINAH
Please tell me why smiles shouldn’t flow down my cheeks;
Also tell who wouldn’t be glad;
As the hens get proud at egg laying for the chicks;
And the men on the street that are mad,
Even smile at the sight of those they are pleased with;
And so let my face read aloud the letters of my heart forthwith;
For truly, the feelings are the messages of the heart to the face;
And the wordings are so decoded by both at their pace.

Making choices are a product of feelings
Interpreting our feelings determines our meetings
Then is the selection that brings the companion
Happiness is it that comes from the union

With the abundance of friends around me
Intimacy could be available without a price to me
But if selection could allude smiles
Then choice must be made with happiness as partner to trek the miles

Explain then, o! Explain
Happiness, can it ever be in vain?
If my choice exhumes happiness, am glad about it
For smiles exist not, without happiness attached to it.

Moments upon moments I keep reflecting
The memories of my recent joys keep stretching
All but by the wonderful choice I have made
The choice that I can go to bed without dinner
Even though I am filled through the night with the happiness from Dinah
For she is a pot and bunch of joy
And to which I derive joy from, I can never toy
And to her alone I derive my joy
O! Please tell me why the smiles should cease to flow down my face
For I doubt anyone would not rejoice for winning a race.
