Of the twenty registered political parties which presented candidates for the poll, it is no secret that candidates of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Governor Rauf Aregbesola and Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Senator Iyiola Omisore remain the main contenders.

According to election time-table released by INEC, today(07/08/14) is the last day for campaigns. Loyalists of the two frontline parties are presently making frantic efforts to win support of the electorate. Meanwhile, according to INEC, there are 1,407,222 registered voters in Osun State. Of these, 745,828 (53%) are females, while 661,394 (47%) are males. |
