TO ROOT YOUR GIONEE PIONEER P2 PHONE

1. Download and install Framaroot tool from
here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/
showthread.php?t=2130276
2. Open Framaroot app and you will see
InstallSuperSU, and Boromir at the last. Click
Boromir. Restart. DONE!
3. Additionally download and install Busybox
from the Play Store, and when you open the app
do a Normal(Safer) or Smart Install of Busybox.
This app is required bymany other root apps to
work properly.

TO BACKUP YOUR STOCK ROM

You can do this in 2 ways:
1. Use the MTK Droid Tools method to create back
upon PC. (Use if you don’t have enough space
on your SD Card or if you don’t want to root
your phone)

2. Install a Custom Recovery and backup your
ROM
onto your SD Card. There are 3 Custom
Recoveries available:-
CWM Recovery (non-touch): https://

I would RECOMMEND the Carliv touch recovery
due to its interface with large touch buttons and
support for AROMA.

TO INSTALL CUSTOM RECOVERY

You can install Custom Recovery using any of the
2 apps you can get from the Play Store:
1. Recovery tools : https://play.google.com/store/
apps/details?id=de.mkrtchyan.recoverytools
A. Download the custom recovery.img file and
place the .img file to root directory of SD Card
(not in any folder).
B. Open the app, click flash other recovery, it
will search and list your recovery.img file.
C. Select the file and flash it. The phone will
restart into custom recovery.
D. In the custom recovery, go to power off. Then
press Reboot System Now from menu. You will
be asked- "Phone may try to load stock recovery
at boot - Fix?" Select YES - Disable Recovery.
DONE!

1. Charge battery to Full.
2. Backup user data using Titanium backup.
3. Download the ROM you want to install and
pasteit in the root of your SD Card.
4. Boot into Custom Recovery using Vol– and
Powerkey.

A) PROCEDURE USING CARLIV TOUCH RECOVERY
(RECOMMENDED METHOD) ## By Sarfuddin Haider

5. Click wipe menu6. Click wipe all data - Preflash
7. Click Factory Reset8. Click Wipe Cache9. Click
Wipe Dalvic Cache10. Press Back Soft Key11.
Click Install zip from SD card12. Click Choose Zip,
to browse SD card. Then Swipe on sky blue color
place, which is on your bottom right hand
corner, to see all your folders and zip files on SD
card. NOW SELECT ROM.ZIP. For example- (SiUi
Rom v1 by Shauvik Chaudhury.zip)-----Then wait
for installalation to finish---9. Click on Reboot. |

B) PROCEDURE USING CWM RECOVERY

5. Wipe User data/ Factory Reset
6. Wipe Cache.
7. Go to Advance options and Wipe Dalvic Cache
and then wipe Battery status.
8. Now return to the main menu of custom
recovery,and Select Install zip from SD card.
9. Click on Install from SD card and then select
the ROM you downloaded, and then select
Install.
10. Wait till the ROM finishes Flashing then
Reboot your phone. The first Reboot may take a
longer time, so wait for it. Then Enjoy the new
ROM!

Installation Procedure:
1. Open build.prop with text editor in Root
Explorer. The file can be found at /system/
build.prop
2. Type these lines in build.prop:

persist.service.swiqi2.enable=1
ro.service.swiqi.supported=true
persist.service.swiqi.enable=1
3. Save the build.prop file and exit.
4. Install the downloaded Zip file in CWM or
COTor Carliv Touch Custom Recovery.
5. Reboot and enjoy.
