Alert: Serious Crisis, Shooting and arson as Obio/ Akpor people resist Amaechi's Meet the People tour Police in Rivers State are now battling to bring under control the massive crisis that has engulfed Obio/Akpor LGA following the resistance of the people to Governor Chibuike Amaechi's political campaign to attract people to opposition APC. Our correspondent reports that several indigenes have sustained gunshot wounds, while houses have been burnt by feuding groups. Most of the youths have been chanting "We don't APC in Obio/Akpor". After his dismal performance in education ministry "Onyesom, Nwaike" which in Igbo translates to (Nobody likes me, child of arse) is back in Rivers to breed another political crisis for Nigeria. The incident happen this morning in Nyesom Wike's own community in Obio/Akpor LGA this morning. Information has it that wike has armed some of his people who are loyal to him and the PDP to fight and kill other members of the same community who are loyal to Amaechi and APC. For coming out en mass to show support for the for much anticipated arrival of Amaechi for his Town Hall meeting with the community members. As am typing this now, a father has shot his son for being a loyalist to Amaechi and APC. Wike is setting fire and killing his own people for the sake of political power. Wike cannot rule Rivers state by Arms. He should go to the poll to test his popularity and acceptability by the people. Not causing trouble for the people he wants to rule. As a result of this incident, some are dead already while many are on the hospital bed taking treatment. 1 Like |
