High Chief Mike Uwaka brings

Renowned business magnate and
security expert, High Chief Mike E.
Uwaka, (KSM) was born August 21st,
1957 in Oguta, Nigeria. Uwaka is the
first Regional Vice President of ASIS
International, the world’s largest
professional security body where he
oversaw 22 countries in West and
Central Africa including Nigeria.
Chief Uwaka’s professional career
commenced at the Nigerian Ports
Authority, Warri, Delta State. He also
worked in the Central Bank of Nigeria,
Lagos. He spent most of his
professional life (1980 to 2004) at
Chevron Nigeria Limited where he
served as the first Security Coordinator
and was later promoted Security
Manager, in which position he served
on the Chevron Management
Committee. Chief Uwaka later served as
the first General Manager (Security) for
Chevron Nigeria Limited before he was
cross-posted to Chevron world-wide
headquarters in San Ramon, California
USA where he served as the world-
wide Corporate Coordinator for Health,
Safety and Environment.
Sir. Uwaka was educated at the
International Learning Centre in
Worcester, Broadway, North London.
He also received training at the
University of Texas at Austin.

entrepreneur, and corporate security
consultant,
Chief Uwaka is the Chairman/Chief
Executive Officer of Melka West Africa
Limited. He is also the owner of Melka
Marine, Melka Farms, Melka Property
Co. Ltd and Melka Inc. In USA. Melka
USA is a member of the Tracy, USA
Chamber of Commerce.
Chief Uwaka holds the chieftaincy title
of Ogbugo & Otunuya Obodo of Utagba
Ogbe , Atobase of Ilewo (Ogun State).
He’s a High Chief (Red Cap chief). In
October 2012, Uwaka was honored with
the Security Icon Award by the
Association of Industrial Security and
Safety Operators of Nigeria (AISSON).
Chief Uwaka is a member of the ASIS
International (USA), Association of
Industrial Security and Safety Operators
of Nigeria, and the International
Foundation for Protection Officers
(USA). He has attended and/or chaired
