Sentimental leaders despite the pressures of the reality of Nigeria's primordial relationship with tribe, would think of alleviating the poverty of the masses, they would build schools and industries in the North, they would call a conference to unite Nigeria by calling for reparations and apologies to the igbos, they would build monuments to honor the fallen Nigerian heroes, they would live humbly because the plight of the wretched that have nothing would make them feel guilty. However having been trained in the practicality of none-sentimentality, they would think acts of the type mentioned above stupid. They would think that the unsentimental thing to do is place ones kinsmen first.


The best military are informed first by the sentimentality of patriotism before going fort to dispassionately dispatch enemy of the nation. Your unsentimental Nigerian elites may be your military leaders. If so, they will ultimately think of themselves and their families. They may think not of spending every penny received from the National coffers on hardware for the soldiers to protect the nation but how to give the impression of doing so while saving money for the day when they may have to flee your sinking nation for safer climate with their loved ones. It is the unsentimental thing to do.


If you the ordinary people hate your nation, unsentimental leaders will not believe or fight for your nation when the chips are down. Your leaders are unsentimental.
