The fact that no Northerner is on that list got me thinking despite their known desire of always wanting to rule.

Simply put, this is politics of bitterness and these people should imbibe the mentality of live and let's live.

Over 70 per cent of these assassinations occurred during the administration of Olusegun Obasanjo. Yet, some people will call him a great leader.

LMAyedun: OBI WALI
The seed of murder was sowed in the Niger Delta region of Nigerian when Ikwere, River State born politician of progressive inclination, Dr. Obi Wali, was brutally murdered in his Port Harcourt residence. Although the police questioned his wife back then in the early 90s, the case died just like that.

LMAyedun: DELE GIWA
The murder of the founding editor of Newswatch, Dele Giwa, on October 19, 1986 can be said to have triggered a boom of high profile murders which are yet to be unraveled by the police. The colourful and celebrated journalist died via a parcel bomb.

One thing with murder is the case never closed till someone is found guilty. What a burden to carry. I pity the perpetrators. Should the hired assassins confess one day or a competent government comes into power, day will break for them. The shame will last generations

I really get dissapointed at the high rate of hypocrisy and untactfulness of the Nigerian media press and police, uptil now we do watch documentries about the assasination case of people like JFK john fedinard kennedy and so on, but here in Nigeria the conceal everything even the upcoming generation hardly know anything about the above mentioned assinated ppl.

The worst part is that OBJ is Now seen as a saint just like IBB, pointing accusing fingers at someone whose admin has witnessed almost zero "political killings" save the ones we keep hearing on the pages of d newspaper that he's "planning" to kill millions of opposition politicians.

Seems u have the 411 on all major assassination contracts in Nigeria, I'm sure you're in this line of business and an experienced practitioner at that, given the level of specificity You're bringing to the table, I hope you won't be too offended if the "hooded" men pay you a visit to seek your enlightened help in resolving some of these puzzles.

are all d aformentin people murderd or Assasinated in cold- blooded d only citizens of Nigeria? I hv an Uncle who fought in d Nigeria civil war (captain Adejoh)he was assasinated in Lagos too, nobody celebrated him even d Army. So Why are dey all celebrated like dis? We remeber d high and mighty who takes care of thier family alone and forget abt d poor. Do they mean anythng? after all if they are still here it doesnt change anything. If Buhari was killed in tht kaduna blast he would have been mentioned among this people, and then forgettn those who died as a result of d blast.

Incidents of politically motivated killings continued in the South-South with the murder of All Nigeria Peoples Party chieftain, Chief Marshal Harry, on March 5, 2003. Like Ige and Rewane, he was killed at home. Nobody is serving any jail term for the crime.
Peter Odili has a case to answer here. The Police are not sincere in this particular case

LMAyedun: ALFRED REWANE
Elder statesman and NADECO financier, Pa Alfred Rewane, was murdered at his Ikeja, Lagos home in 1994. The case has been on since with the trial of suspects who pleaded not guilty to the heinous crime. An avowed critic of military dictatorship, Rewane was also a big businessman.
Abacha murdered Pa Alfred Riwane. It shall not be well with his family
